PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

It fucking stinks mate doesn’t it ?

It does.

But to this day, ask any City fan and they still don’t understand why City took the money from the Scousers, which effectively closed the case, and gave the FA the excuse they needed no to intervene.

surely expulsion, stripping of titles etc would be the severest of penalties reserved for only the severest of ‘crimes’ ie match fixing, bribery etc. if they deem expulsion a fit punishment for these accusations then what would be the bar for taking bribes or match fixing? ala Juve?

It would be a farce, if it isn’t already
What worries me is it depends how much they really want us and our recent history gone, we already know the hatred they have towards us.

I want a win… not a stalemate.. If at all possible I want the club to be vindicated and the Premier League to be proven to be the bad boys…

I don’t think it will change anybodys perception of the club but I’d be ecstatic

Exactly.

A stalemate is of no use to anyone.

If it transpires that our owners have indeed broken PL rules, we should take our punishment (subject to an appeal if deemed necessary, obviously) and look to move forward.

If the case is not proved however, we should absolutely wipe out the PL. Destroy it from the ground upwards, and take the lead on creating a new league and infrastructure.

That's a fair point. What we're charged with is extremely serious, but surely lesser than fixing actual matches etc? Given what we won at least on the pitch has been fair and square, you'd like to think that harshest of punishments would be reserved for far worse.

Talking only if anything is actually proven of course.

No.

All this talk of going nuclear or burning the lot down etc is just over emotional fan talk.

City didn't burn UEFA down and they won't be doing anything like that with the PL. They also won't be going after any other club.

They will just defend themselves well at the panel hearing and that will be that.
We need to be cleared regardless , or it will be rinse and repeat for the next decade plus.

I still feel that a heavy fine, mainly for non-cooperation (similar to CAS), is the most likely outcome.
Which will keep up the narrative of us being guilty because we won’t cooperate with what we deem to be untrustworthy and corrupt.
Our reasoning won’t be reported of course.
Basically didn’t cooperate because we are hiding something.

Imagine the carnage right now if Bluemoon introduced voice notes

Here's my naive little blue tinted view of things.....

A few questions. Unless the answer is No to the majority, it is a witch hunt and we should have nothing to answer to:

- Have City added to the success and marketability of the Premier League? I.E. have we helped create value for the League, their Directors, employees, other clubs, etc.?
- Has City's presence been a force for good in the Community?
- Have City generally set an example of how to run a Football Club in a 1st class way?
- Have City been solely or largely responsible for creating an environment in the League where success is impossible without money?
- Has City's way of running the club unfairly affected club staff, young players, coaches or other employees?
- Have City been unethical in their business practices, employment contracts, external Contractor dealings, or in any other way to consistently draw justified criticism?

I could go on and on.

Compared with other big clubs, I don't think any club has contributed more to the excitement of the Premier League, improvements in the Community and forcing other Clubs to look at and improve themselves more than City have.

If we are criminals, where are the victims?

and improvenim
About 30 miles down the East Lancs Rd???

The more time passes, and the more we find out, it is looking increasingly clear that the realistic sanctions are nothing like as severe as originally mooted.

Also, IF we are found guilty of anything it certainly won't be on 100 or more charges, it will be much, much less.

I think rival fans, giddy journalists and pundits will be sorely disappointed with any punishment if any is given.

It does.

It was the lack of publicity that astounded me , but that’s the anything that plays in red arse licking fraternity isn’t it , can you imagine that being us doing that , it’s as bent and corrupt as fuck

I’m still of the opinion that City have information that could blow the lot up , Ajays post the other day alluded to it
People said that before CAS, and it never happened then. I think it’s wishful thinking. At best we might be able to demonstrate that other clubs have been doing some of the things we’re accused of. The notion that we have something completely incendiary seems a little fanciful though.

All this shit heightened when the spiegel shit came out, has anyone considered why we let Liverpool off so lightly with the database hack ? Are City about to blow the lot up ? Keeping our powder dry maybe?
The funny thing is we let them off but it shouldn’t have been up to us, regardless of any payment the premier league should’ve, should charge them.
They cheated and then payed their way out of it.
We know what would happen the other way round.
Liverpools case - time barred
City’s case - 2009
Clear as fucking day.
