PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I believe you 100% but I just not see how the pl are going to cope once it's been proven the charges were bollocks. And the pl acted only to please the American owned clubs.
Yeah true, what would the
The only way I see it ending soon is a major climb down by the PL with us maybe accepting the non-cooperation charges and taking a relatively minor pinch on that.

Are you sensing the PL don’t have the appetite for the fight they picked?
This is very interesting. Would love to know why they might climb down at this point, they've had 4 years to prepare their case so would be surprising if they suddenly thought we don't really fancy it (unless it was just pressure to get something out and only now are they thinking how they pursue it) or perhaps someone (city or outside body) has fed them something to make them think again.
And as Give it to Gordon says if the PL fall flat on their faces how do they explain it. You'd have to think heads would roll.
It's fascinating either way to try to work out what's going on here.

Heads will roll. But will it be ten consecutive heads? @SebastianBlue please

When it’s all about keeping the negative narrative going and in those four years there were articles out ever few months pointing out al the Same lies! It’s was to damage our image keep it going long enough and history will always say now we were cheats! Damage Pep tenure at city to! All bullshit lies by the red shirt kunts to damage us! Yes on the pitch we down fantastic but it’s our image by none city fans that been set just by how long they keep spewing lies..

I am assuming all parties would want to get it completed asap but assume there will need to be certain time for preparation and then both parties can appeal the outcome whatever that may be.

I am unsure what avenues are available after appeal but assume there may be further legal mechanisms.

So basically who knows how long this could drag on.
Only legal recourse to appeal would be if we could prove due process hadn’t happened. There’s no sporting authority we can appeal to, it would be a matter for the law courts but only if we can demonstrate the process itself wasn’t legal. I think - @gordondaviesmoustache or @Prestwich_Blue will know for definite

The club are NOT Interested in any settlement deals. They are going 100% on the attack. This is a zero sum game. They have been accused of sustained criminal behavior for over a decade. It goes way beyond being accused of breaking FFP rules. Its goingto get very ugly.

There are grounds under which we could appeal but I understand those are limited to issues of improper process or points of law.

Edit: The interesting question for me is that if we were cleared of all charges bar those relating to non-cooperation, and we felt we had good legal grounds not to cooperate (e.g. because the PL were 'fishing'), would that constitute acceptable grounds for appeal?

Is a witch hunt legal ?

No other pl club is investigated this deeply

Surely the pl will have rules that all clubs are dealt with the same. This clearly hasn't happened

This is gonna end sooner than we think :)

We are ready to go. On our terms. Want to put it to bed, once and for all.
Great news. Any idea of timescale? Are we looking at days, weeks or months? I can't imagine our opponents will want it finalising before the end of this season, as it could give us an on field boost, and that's the last thing they would want.

It's all about the narrative, keeping it going and the more you say it the more the people will believe. That is what it's all about, throw enough shit some off it sticks.

City want it all done and dusted in a matter of months.

95 per cent of the charges are already considered off the table.

Imho, once the investigation was opened, they had to finish it. And once the investigation was finished without full cooperation, anything that didn't have a satisfactory answer had to be put down as a breach. That's why there are so many. I have done these things before and all you can really do is put everything in the list of breaches that you didn't get acceptable answers for, in this case over multiple years as well. In VAR parlance, it's protocol. One of the mistakes they have made, imo, is that they should have waited for CAS before they opened their investigation, then they could have taken the award into account before starting. But here we are.

The other mistake, if they have indeed made it, I don't want to raise again.
