Etihad Atmosphere - 2022/23

There isn’t really any defending it to be honest. Our fans pissing off on 80 mins in a title race when our striker has just broken the PL record is embarrassing. Guard of honour and nobody there to see it. Would any other fanbase around the world just disappear in these circumstances? It will be empty by 70 mins when Pep’s gone and we rejoin the pack.
 
Wasnt terrible tonight imo - SS kept going all night. good few empty seats though - far more than were on sale it seemed - and the customary fire drill.
 
Rather good in and around me. Don't know whether it's those watching on TV that keep gurning about the atmosphere. I enjoyed tonight. Especially after the first went in and the pressure valve was released.

Agree about the early leavers. Probably watching the greatest English side of all time challenging for a treble and large numbers need to get home and fluff their pillows.

It’s just bizarre. What’s even more ridiculous is that a lot of the people who leave early go and sit on a bus or in car that doesn’t move/ can’t leave the car park until way after the games finished anyway

Going for the the treble and people can’t even be arsed to clap the team off
 
Was interesting to see Pep gesticulating to the fans around the hour mark, he wasn’t satisfied with what he was(n’t) hearing and I don’t blame him. It was mostly dead in CB Level 2.
 
Relocating next season. Cross between a library and a Year 6 class detention up in ES3. I’ve been to livelier wakes. Best football ever witnessed, and I’m getting shushed by folk with £100 worth of club-shop clobber, who wouldn’t know passion and suffering if it came up and carjacked their VW Tiguan. Gentrification, everywhere I look.

In my usual 115 and people as always tried to get songs going. Around us stand up the champions was sang 3/4 times and nobody else joined in.

The new North stand expansion really needs to be done right because at the minute there's too much of a detachment for atmosphere.

The atmosphere isn't perfect but no ground is. Arsenal had empty seats last night and was quiet in parts despite beating rivals Chelsea.

I think if fans knew about Haalands guard of honour they'd have stuck around. It does feel like the club does these on a whim. Pre Leeds would have been great and would have amplified the atmosphere tenfold.

Would be nice if the whole ground was up for it all night, yes, but by now we know outside the SS it comes and goes. What I will say is I was in the gods for a change and could hear and see all - don’t think any of the PL crowds up and down the country would produce more noise on a Wed night after work…not an excuse just context
 
Culture in English football has changed its very rare now you see atmosphere in most sections of grounds unless its a big match. Only way too generate a consistent atmosphere is to follow the way they do it in Europe but again that won't happen at its not in our Culture at least for the majority

I left at the whistle got to get the bus because if I miss it im fucked and not getting home until midnight if that’s ok with you! Did anyone know what was going to happen at the end? Did they fuck. Fucking off before the end I don’t like but once the final whistle has gone sorry but I’m off.
 
I tell you what. There’s a bloke in block 212 a few rows behind me (I’m row B, I reckon he’s D/E) and he never fucking shuts up. Not chanting, just shouting nonsense. No sentence without a “fucking” in the midst of it.

I love those around me who start chants, be supportive of the team and have constructive conversations but he just chats shite for 90 minutes without taking a breath. Doing me nut in!
