No problem with opinion, no need to ignore really is there. As long as any debate is genuine and good natured.

For me, the criminals are currently in Government. The money that they have lost us to mates etc is horrendous and they should be doing jail time. They are the ones leading us down a slippery path towards fascism and ruining the welfare system and the NHS, plus anything else they can find ways to make personal profits from while scamming the rest of the country.

The royal family are more of a novelty act. Yeah they get loads of money from us but the general consensus seems to be that they bring in way more to the British economy via tourists than they cost.

I do object to shit like us paying for a new royal yacht and all that crap though. They have enough to that themselves - but again, I think that was driven more by our criminal government than by the royals, though they of course are happy to accept anything. Generally though, the royals are more of an irrelevance to me, while the government clearly arent. I wish the scousers would focus more on standing up against the government then they'd get a lot more backing.

Anyway. Let's try and bring it back to football at some point. Liverpool are average and Everton are going down. There we go. :-)
I wholeheartedly agree that Liverpool are shite. Do want Everton to survive though!

I don’t mind if they stay up. Most Everton fans I’ve met hate the red dippers even more than we do, especially since Heysel and Everton missing the opportunity to do something in Europe while the Liverpool fans still take the piss out of them for it (Steaua Bucharest flag for example).

I hate him and his family for everything they represent. You yourself have just admitted they're outdated and unnecessary, yet we continue to be blindsided as a nation. We fund every one of their extravagances; palaces, ski trips. Fucking hell we even pay off court cases for them. They're answerable to no laws, they are protected from any consequence by some bygone notion of divine provenance. And suggesting he's born into so it's not his fault is a cop out; they're not uneducated enough to comprehend the history of their establishment and why it exists in the first place.

Some folk in this country begrudge a single mother universal credit or vital public services striking for fairer pay. Penny to a pound of shit, those same people will tomorrow be lining the streets of London to wave at a man in a gold carriage who has done nothing to warrant the life of privilege he's had gifted him. And this man is going to become their head of state. That's fucked. If you don't think so, fair enough; crack on.

This forum has an ignore function; if you or anyone else finds my views objectionable, use it.
Would someone please be kind enough to explain how the ignore function works? Thank you

You just know what the reason will be,
A small pocket of fans in the away end started booing the anthem, then the rest of the stadium were booing those fans for booing, it wasn't their fault

The argument that the royal family bring on loads of money through tourism is a myth. The country that hosts the most tourists every year is France and they haven't had a king for over 200 years. Vive la revolution!!
It's just funny watching the rants and the metaphorical porridge spraying everywhere mate ;)

Liverpool are going to play the national anthem now before the game tomorrow and I bet the crowd sound will be turned of and they’ll funnel in the national anthem!

Just had a read of the last couple of pages on there and they seemed to be reconciled to the fact that the charges against us won’t stick and are in the process of creating a narrative that it’s because of one or all of the following:
- We’re paying off the investigators
- The media are in our pocket
- The government will bury it because of trade with UAE

Not one of them has the balls to admit that CAS might have got it right and this PL investigatory panel could quite easily come to the same conclusion based on the evidence. Because they just know..
Very true. In fairness some of them started hedging their bets on that as soon as the charges dropped.
Them and all the sad, spineless fucks around will never drop it and the way the PL in particular (and we all know the driving forces behind that behaviour) has empowered them to do so.
I honestly think the pl know nothing will stick - it’s purely an excercise in reputational damage.

The players will all be stood round the centre circle with a camera on the centre spot swivelling round focusing on the players faces, crowd a blur in the background whilst playing the audio from a wembley rendition on match of the day

I will be on the concourse having a pint pre match and agree with some of your sentiments but this is for off topic imo

Will anyone be 'taking the knee'?

No problem having those views, and if you don’t want to sing the national anthem at the match no one really cares. However a significant proportion of the population including a sizeable section of our fan base either don’t mind or actively support having a King and royal family so it’s only fair to them not to try and disrupt a rendition of the national anthem. We don’t have to be like the dippers whatever our views on hereditary heads of state are. Just stay in the concourse or sit down for it, then laugh at the dippers trying to make out they’re doing the country a favour by booing the national anthem.
Long live the King!

On their official website - a statement that basically says they will accept the behaviour of those that show no respect.

Expect all pitch side microphones to be turned down.

  • CORONATION: Before kick-off and in recognition of the Premier League’s request to mark the coronation, players and officials will congregate around the centre circle when the national anthem will be played. It is, of course, a personal choice how those at Anfield on Saturday mark this occasion and we know some supporters have strong views on it.
I have strong views on the subject too…

People who support Liverpool are more Irish than genuine Irish people.

Meanwhile, over on the squawk... littlewoodspools fc have been shit this season... because we've made their players fall out of love with the game!!!

I don't know what's funnier... below... or the circle jerk rantathon currently unfolding about a Brennan article from over a year ago!

Re: Man City - cheating bastards rumbled

I’ve said for a while that part of our problems this year will be down to players falling out of love with the game because they’ve been cheated out of titles. Who could blame them?
You can’t have blame without fault.

See what you've done there is ringfence an entire demographic. And whilst scumbags who launch bottles at teenage girls have no principles, I've met many scousers who I'd consider to be wonderful people.

And I would argue that, yes, if they boo an anthem that celebrates a criminal being divinely anointed head of state, they're veritably principled.
What’s your definition of a criminal?

Inheriting half a billion from his mum and exempting himself from inheritance tax. Colluding, with the rest of his family, to protect his diseased brother from prosecution for child trafficking offenses. Not paying any tax, including income, whatsoever; unless you're happy to admit he's a freeloader who fulfills no occupation or civic duty, thus absolving himself of a financial obligation the rest of society is beholden to?

Although, actually, you might be on to something. There's a little thing called sovereign immunity, a little clause that states our head of state cannot be prosecuted or tried for any crime. They are quite literally above the law. So if the brainwashed want to nitpick at terminology, he can't be called criminal. Meanwhile, in the real world, he's a contemptible piece of shit living off the riches of bloody plunders and land grabs centuries ago.

That, in my eyes, makes him worse than a common criminal.
Offences.
