PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Has there ever been a decent investigative piece by any sports journalist on the European Super League?

Has there been a timeline of events? Confirming who the main instigators were, when discussion took place, who was there, which clubs were approached, which ones were all in, which ones were hesitant to join and why?

Loved the way Rodri completely blanked Masters at the presentation today.
Whilst giving the medals out he had a face like someone was wafting a rather oderous turd under his nose.
Maybe because his plan for united to win the league every other year has been shown up for the utter disaster it is due to their inability to run a business properly or maybe because he's a red stooge shill.

He looked like he was hating every minute

I would have liked to have seen others blank him

For me - his body language showed just how much he is in the ref shirt's pocket

As disgusting as it is that the press has chosen to fixate on these bullshit charges instead of City's excellence I kind of hope they keep it up for a few more weeks since it completely galvanizes the team. A team this great that feels like victims is going to be extremely dangerous.
I think the mentality and purpose of this group of players, instilled into them by Pep, has benefitted enormously from the way these charges were laid; and the subsequent, enduring press tone and coverage has accentuated that, which will continue into next season. It has also made the Etihad a more hostile and lively place.

If the intention was to break our resolve then it has abjectly failed. I do hope when this is over that the club is more retributive with certain media individuals than hitherto. Reporting these charges as a matter of fact is one thing, but the preposterous and tendentious way that they have been presented in some quarters as tainting a season, or even a group of players, to which they do not relate, cannot go unpunished, especially when that opinion has been presented as fact, as it unquestionably has. That’s the real mischief here.

Sadly, even though I am certain the substantive charges will be dismissed on evidential grounds, the club will disappoint when the time for marking these agenda-driven jibes comes round.

The media’s presumption of guilt is based on the ridiculous volume of charges & not the evidence of wrong doing.

I would imagine Prosecutors all around the world that all they need to go to trial is load up charges & their cases will be won.

Not sure I agree with that mate. It’s principally based on clicks.

I’m probably basing it on the football daily podcast where the explanation was that City have maintained that they’ll beat the charges like UEFA but there is 115, the tone changed to explain that it’s 115 as if the more the stronger the case.

(Once again assuming we get a fair hearing) that’s simply not correct.

Try and look at it the other way - imagine how definitive having 115 charges dismissed would be!

I think it's fair to say that the sheer number of breaches enables the legally illiterate to explain how bad it is to the terminally stupid. Maybe it's the other way around. Terminally stupid people explaining how bad it is to the legally illiterate. Either way it involves terminally stupid and legally illiterate people. With a dash of clicks thrown in to support @gordondaviesmoustache 's point.

I completely agree & look forward to the day but that’s not the narrative they are creating.

As you said about the “know nowt twat” giving the impression of loopholes when no such thing exists.

There’s a start of a great poem in there somewhere…finish it off kip

Maybe Kipling was thinking of Pep…..

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don’t deal in lies,
Or being hated, don’t give way to hating,

The same nonces in the press that are making such a thing of the significance of the number of charges are the same cunts who will play up the significance of a single technical breach of the non-cooperation charge, whilst simultaneously ignoring the dismissal of the remaining charges that they presented as being so significant.

They will do whatever it takes to shift their narrative to suit their agenda.

Beautifully explained
