Any more news on the introduction of an independent regulator to oversee the PL? That did seem part of why these quickly (and poorly) put together charges came about.
100% The charges "united" this club more than ever and how ironic that is , the biggest own goal of all time, you could not make up that sort of sh1t!!I think the mentality and purpose of this group of players, instilled into them by Pep, has benefitted enormously from the way these charges were laid; and the subsequent, enduring press tone and coverage has accentuated that, which will continue into next season. It has also made the Etihad a more hostile and lively place.
If the intention was to break our resolve then it has abjectly failed. I do hope when this is over that the club is more retributive with certain media individuals than hitherto. Reporting these charges as a matter of fact is one thing, but the preposterous and tendentious way that they have been presented in some quarters as tainting a season, or even a group of players, to which they do not relate, cannot go unpunished, especially when that opinion has been presented as fact, as it unquestionably has. That’s the real mischief here.
Sadly, even though I am certain the substantive charges will be dismissed on evidential grounds, the club will disappoint when the time for marking these agenda-driven jibes comes round.
Football is tribal - and the media have been playing on that... they are controlling the narrative and most people are either too stupid to realise or are blinded by their tribalism, this is why the Club needs to seek retribution when we are cleared of the accusations!Already had a Dipper and a Rag going on about the charges. Both are university educated (I have opinions about that, but it's not for here). People will believe what they want to believe. I'm sure both those individuals would search further if their own clubs were involved, but they won't in this instance. Football is all about tribes and neither the Rags nor the Dippers want to believe anything other than City are state funded cheats.
I messaged them both that their bitterness made our wins even sweeter. Radio silence.......
It's telling that he, Soriano and Begiristain didn't look very worried yesterday!Looking forward to Khaldoon's end of season interview. Should be a fascinating watch.
Kipling? There’s a start of a great poem in there somewhere…finish it off kip
Thanks for putting into words exactly my feelings. The same nonces in the press that are making such a thing of the significance of the number of charges are the same cunts who will play up the significance of a single technical breach of the non-cooperation charge, whilst simultaneously ignoring the dismissal of the remaining charges that they presented as being so significant.
They will do whatever it takes to shift their narrative to suit their agenda.

(Once again assuming we get a fair hearing) that’s simply not correct.
Try and look at it the other way - imagine how definitive having 115 charges dismissed would be!
I agree but would be surprised if the club does, it will always be something fans of other clubs raise.Football is tribal - and the media have been playing on that... they are controlling the narrative and most people are either too stupid to realise or are blinded by their tribalism, this is why the Club needs to seek retribution when we are cleared of the accusations!
One day soon, they will realise the history clubs are no longer the masses and they will have to pander to the new generation of fans across the world, who have only seen football for the last 10 years and have only seen a team in Sky blue dominate.Football is tribal - and the media have been playing on that... they are controlling the narrative and most people are either too stupid to realise or are blinded by their tribalism, this is why the Club needs to seek retribution when we are cleared of the accusations!
The media’s presumption of guilt is based on the ridiculous volume of charges & not the evidence of wrong doing.
I would imagine Prosecutors all around the world that all they need to go to trial is load up charges & their cases will be won.
Masters though had a face like slapped arse!!It's telling that he, Soriano and Begiristain didn't look very worried yesterday!
Nail on head. The club's messaging has been incredibly poor on this.
They should have been pushing out via their sources in the press that this is only 4 or 5 incidents that are generating dozens of charges each because of the time period covered.
They should be pushing much harder the idea that the non-compliance is to do with the PL changing the rules on what clubs have to submit in 2021.
They should be briefing people that the club wants this over and done with ASAP.
It's absolutely incredible to me that no one at City seems to have learned from the UEFA saga that their strategy of saying nothing just allows the narrative to be completely taken over by the people shouting loudest on the other side.

I guess it depends if the club actually thinks that message would be disseminated to any meaningful extent, which I personally suspect it wouldn’t.The club's messaging has been incredibly poor on this.

Surely educating the average dimwit would be meaningful enough.I guess it depends if the club actually thinks that message would be disseminated to any meaningful extent, which I personally suspect it wouldn’t.
