It's only their deep-seated love of the Rags that stopped Phil Jones and Martial from signing for Barcelona years ago. Apparently, they were offered 600k a week each, but they said 'Nah, thanks, we love Stretford too much.'

Just to add, Luke Shaw was off to Real but found out there were no Greggs in Madrid, so he told them to stick their money.
& De Gea on KDB wages, Sancho not far behind

Ta. Let's see then how the narrative about 'state owned' and dirty oil money plays out in the enthralled red meedya...

Edit. I know the answer. Will be the most wholesome organic form of PL ownership ever in the history of the Worlds Greatest Club.

Yea although the thing their new owners have going for them, is their impeccable human rights record. Treat their workers really well over there too!

Apparently they've given up on their plan of signing Kane, but they are trying to get Mbappe.
When are these lot going to 'wake up and smell the coffee'?
Will mbappe be a happy bench warmer for sir st Marcus?!

I've got more chance of playing for the swampies, I'm smaller than their hobbit, got a wobbly gut, and I'll be honest with you, won't be doing any of that running malarkey! Also I'm 52 and have a bigger conk than Gonzo?!

Come to think of it, I'll wait by the phone......

It'll take them years to catch up to us. They have a lot of deadwood in their squad. They also have to compete with Newcastle and Chelsea. I'm not worried about them in the short term although I do think they'll be our closest challengers this season.

They can do whatever they want dont give a fuck. Either owner would be spending loads and its not like Glazers havn't been spending loads either.
