Had to laugh at a tweet yesterday which said city will pay 120m Euros including ads one and resale release clause. I have never ever seen anyone include resale release clause in a players transfer fees. How does one calculate that ? And my only response was what !! And an unbelievable laugh.

I can see around £70m plus add-ons which may push it up to €100mill, damned if I can work out what the other bit is. It looks like they just got carried away and couldn't work out which was which so just put them together into one sentence :)

Are you suggesting that journalists write stories without doing any research?

My favourite was on Dave Gorman’s TV show where a local newspaper used Wikipedia to print an untrue fact about him. Dave edited Wikipedia to get rid of it, and it was back within a few days with the dodgy newspaper article as a citation. This stuff just feeds itself.

Werner, Upamecano, Keita, Hwang, Adams all sold for big money and flopped.

But… I’m not against the lad. He’s young and our scouting system will do the necessaries. It’s not my money but the figures of £80/100m being mentioned always make me uncomfortable when it comes to CBs. I’d prefer to keep Laporte but if he wants off not much we can do.
