What !!!! Spat my tea out, she has a voice that could peel wall paper, worse than scouse.

I like watch euro sport for the race but when it comes to the studio it itv4 for me.

Sorry mate but cant stand her voice
Ha ha, I wasn't really thinking about her voice. She's a fine looking woman.

Sad news. I'm surprised there aren't more serious accidents with some of the descents riden.
That’s tragic news to read, just catching up now.

100km/hr on that descent. Thing is, just been watching some of the footage and it doesn’t look that out of the ordinary in that riders go down roads like that often. It looked fairly steep but it didn’t seem one of those really precipitous cliff-edge type drops.
Didn’t seem much by way of barriers though.

Fully agreed, incredible it doesn’t happen more.
How could you make the sport safer so this doesn’t happen though? It’s a tricky one; can’t really do away with descents!

British National Road Race Championship today in the North East. Cavendish unfortunately isn't racing it but there is a really strong lineup. Geraint will be up there but some very talented young riders coming through.

Yep, already in my diary. Saw the stage 5 start in Macclesfield a couple of years ago. Great event and you can get really close to the riders. Got some nice photos.
Likewise, gonna be on that. Could be bluemoon meet-up not in a pub; bit of a novelty ;-)

Just gearing up for the Tour. Well, bought the official guide/mag today anyway!

Last two years I’ve done a TdF25 (basically cycling 25% of that day’s race distance each day of the tour), but not really in the shape for it at the moment. Doing some running but to not much riding, so go to daily 40-50km rides could be pushing it.
Maybe a TdF10 might be more doable ;-)

Weather and the continuous loop they did just made it a hard watch. It’s one of the reasons TT’s and the Worlds leave me a bit meh to watch on TV
It’s a funny one with TTs.

Live, on the course, if you have the right mindset and find a good spot with a picnic etc, it can be great; 2 or 3 hours of the riders coming by at high speed, better than a normal road stage in a way, which vanishes in seconds!

However on tv, it’s the reverse, and with very rare exceptions TTs make for dull tv watching imho.

I’d rather your top 2 finished the other way around if I’m honest but you may well be correct.

I'd rather Pogacar won but the crash & injury and the way Vingegaard has been riding recently means I can only see one winner.

I have the horrible thought that he may do it comparatively easily too. Hope not though as a real battle in the mountains is amazing to watch.

Would love Cav to get that one more win but not sure it's going to happen. Maybe he can try something different & unexpected and get in a breakaway on a suitable stage.
