Nice to see it being done in Manchester as well. The birthplace of the cycling renaissance in the UK and gradually becoming more and more marginalised from the major events.

went down and watched- great atmos. Major events can go and suck my balls grassroots is where its really at and there's a brilliant base racing scene right here in manchester. Long may it continue.

Tremendous stage today! If yesterday was a stark reminder of the gut wrenching side of cycling, then today was the perfect counterbalance tonic. Big chuckle at Simon Clarke trying to save face in his interview - nobody believes you I'm afraid mate :D Tomorrow should be very fun because they'll be some sore legs tonight.

Italy is consistently gorgeous isn't it.

Been great viewing, thus far.

Aru has made a great recovery from the illness that led to him losing 5 kilo. The rest of the Astanaroids have put in a great shift.

Disappointed with Uran. It now seems to becoming clear who the top 3 are going to be. Although not so clear on the order.

Remarkable isn't it, almost unbelievable in fact.

It has been great racing so far though. Very rare to see a General Classification so decimated this early in a race. If it continues at this pace it really will be last man standing come the final week.

Quite interested to see how Cataldo's race pans out. He has a very strong time trial and he's shown on occasion he can climb too (Cuitu Negru in 2012, Stelvio last year, though both those performances were from a break rather than with the favourites) He could maybe be an outside bet for top 5 depending on how Astana use him.

Chapeau Contador for today

Dislocated shoulder and he did that.

Loving the Giro so far and California just started. Bonus.

Today should be very interesting. If Contador's shoulder is causing him trouble then could be a very hard and telling day for him, especially given his climbing style. If though it's not painful it could actually give him a bit of a tactical advantage. He might also be worried about how it will hold up in the TT position, which could force him to try and take time beforehand. Aside from Bertie we should get a clearer indication where Porte, Ar and co are at too. Fun watching ahead :)

I'm not able to record stuff at the moment so haven't been able to see any of Cali. Pity as tonight's stage does look good.

Enjoy the delights of Swansea, fingers crossed it'll be 3 points for your troubles :)
