Which direction is felix‘s thread?
He is shit anyways.
He is shit anyways.
I wouldn't call him totally shit but not worth the hype.Which direction is felix‘s thread?
He is shit anyways.
Gvardiol as a fact, if Mahrez leaves then Diaby or Felix, If Bernardo leaves to Barca or PSG then Wirtz and after Rice failing I’d probably have had a look at Maddison for £40m mate?
Maddison has already gone to Spurs, has he not?
Can’t say I’m a massive fan of him, so quite glad he’s been snapped up.Yes mate, I was just saying for £40m he would have been possibly worth going for?
Harry Maguire is still getable.
They'd be better off playing him upfront as a target man. He'd probably score more than Antonio.West Ham going to waste some of there Rice money on this donkey and filling the scums coppers to boot..
Yes it is but fuck all is happening so other players get mentionedFelix flatters to decieve. The bait is getting strong in this thread. Is this the Gvardiol thread?
Finally.A good replacement for Gabriel Jesus !They'd be better off playing him upfront as a target man. He'd probably score more than Antonio.
Our financial style is to value an asset then try to buy it. If it becomes an auction we do not usually participate unless it has not reached our valuation.Nothing is ever “done” until it’s on the official site. Many throw about “done deal” before it’s official, perhaps people have a different meaning to the word.
Last I heard waiting on Leipzig to sort their signing(s) at the back then final negotiations will commence for Gvardiol.
The message around City walking away is a general statement around every player we go for, Gvardiol no different.
I spotted that with Brendan eyeing this “top top top top” player and thought where are we should prioritise ahead of anyone elseYeah a bag with a hole in the bottom of it.
Telling you we need to be getting JFE in or someone of that level.
Football is an inherently different industry. The dynamic of footballs assets (i.e the players), means it becomes an auction. The only way that changes is if a player agitates for a particular club and rules out anyone else. Our financial style is to value an asset then try to buy it. This is how other sectors of business and industry behave so why should football be any different?
Not saying that this would happen with Josko, but it could transpire it doesn't ork out for us. There is more to it than simply paying up expecting a guaranteeFootball is an inherently different industry. The dynamic of footballs assets (i.e the players), means it becomes an auction. What makes this deal frustrating is a lack of other bidders in the auction house. In this instance, the asset wants City and City only. The price is set but we won't meet it.
Which of these two scenarios is better?
A.) We walk away and have an extra £15 million to put on the books.
B.) We pay a justifiably record fee and get the best young defender on the planet giving us a decade of service.
It's a fucking no-brainer. It's what makes the Rice situation galling; we've got an extra ~£10-15mil in the bank when we could have had a top class/potentially world class DM in our ranks to play a double pivot or deputise for Rodders should he suffer a lengthy injury. And we could have had him for years.
There's little justification for us to be scrimping given the position of financial power our chairman states we're now in and the stature our club currently holds.
Slight amendment Will :-)Stop flapping this deal is in the suitcase
Of course, there is always risk. But all business has an element of risk. It's about making risky decisions. Given what we already know about Gvardiol, and the esteem he's already held in, it's highly unlikely he becomes anything other than a star and one of the best in his position. If Madrid sign him next season, and he goes on the win several CL titles with them, that extra £15mil in our bank will feel valueless. Not saying that this would happen with Josko, but it could transpire it doesn't ork out for us. Rice didn’t want us mate so it was never going to happen and we knew it . If he would have angled a move for us then I think we would have gone for him but I do believe we should be paying this extra money to get this defender because yes we have walked away from players before and it’s served us well but that will not always happen and it will bite us one day. I also believe that the Laporte deal is holding this up even though we say it has no bearing .Football is an inherently different industry. Our finances have got to their current state by applying rules that City decide. Surely they won't change this just because they cannot get their target at their valuation.Football is an inherently different industry.
