Leroy Sané

Why would we even think about bringing someone back who didn’t want to stay with us and who is a problem to coach as city Bayern and Germany have all had problems with sane . He was good when he was here but should have been world class but for bouts of chucking the dummy out . A big step back for us if we go for him .

fascinating how all the "influencers" (C.Xtra,Steven/EK, Tolmie etc) are pushing for a return...if they watched more than 2 games in the last 3 years from Munich or the national team then they would come to a different conclusion...it can only be for some illogical reasons

he still has an average first touch / passing game, lost speed after ACL/ageing, finishing in front of the goal is on "sterling level", still sulking when the game doesn´t go in his way & is on ridiculous wages (more than £17 m/year)...Coman & even Gnabry outperformed him/ more valuable for the team over this time period...in 6 month he will be 28 years

unironically we would do Munich a (big) favour

You have to think the only thing not bringing him back is worried about his attitude.

He is much better than all of the other alternatives mentioned

He is not the same player who left for Bayern.
You could argue if he’s different that’s not a bad thing.

He was far too inconsistent before. Maturity may have helped this. He used to have his moments and when on he was incredible, but far to up and down.

As much as I’d want to see that again I’d also love to see a reliable Sane which maybe isn’t as effective in those moments but better over a season. He was great against us recently and we destroyed them.

We would be wasting our money in bringing him back. As I said a few pages back we needed SWP more than we do with Sane. He does deserve another chance to kick start his career but not at City.

I did see your post but I think they are different players, different time/needs and the club is in a different place. We could easily sign anyone but I think signing Sané would be the best fit.

If we have been taken by surprise we need someone that can slot in. He can play either side which helps with both the rotation of Grealish/Foden. He’s got a lot of experience and clearly a good player.

I’d be amazed if someone would prefer Olmo or Raphinha to Sané. He’s a better player than both of them, you don’t play week in week out for Bayern if not. I also think if he doesn’t come back and set the world on fire he does a solid job like Mahrez has this year.

I really don’t see a better transfer out there. We have Foden and Grealish already. Potentially Alvarez out wide and plenty of youth players coming through with bags of potential (McAtee, Bobb, Palmer, Borges etc.)

SWP coming back was at that time we were growing, well trying to. We needed any connection to get players in. We could slap down incredible fees for the worlds best players now and they’d most likely say yes.

Not much difference between the two. Both are (or were) exciting wingers, both were fan favourites but both were looking like they were on the decline through one reason or another. SWP was more of a statement signing second time around. We don't need any more statement signings at the minute (Haaland is more than enough and possibly Gvardiol). We may need to find a Mahrez replacement but Sane isn't that sigining for me.

I just don't think he is quite the same after the injury. I would be very wary of signing any player post ACL reconstruction. If it happens on our watch (Gundogan) that is different. His surgery was guided by Bayern Munich.

Fair enough. For me Sane isn’t a statement signing but a worthwhile replacement for Mahrez. I guess we just see it differently.

I don’t think it will happen, I’m happy to sit back and see what we do. As I think it’s clear we will sign someone.

Just hope it’s not like when we let Zinchenko go, wanted Cuc but ended up settling for Gomez. The way that worked out you could say Gomes was a better transfer! But my point is we need someone and I hope we get who ever our target is.

If Bluemoon was around when it was released that Keegan was thinking about giving God another go this forum would have gone mental , Sane is not coming back and either did Gio

He's not been a regular starter for FC Hitler,he's been in and out and generally a disappointment since signing.

His injury unfortunately reduced him from his peak 2018,when on his day he was unplayable.

In the last 5 years he's regressed and simply isn't at our standard.

Yet he’s was the best player against us when we last played. He’s a good player and if he was openly in the market plenty of teams would want him. Whether it’s a Barcelona loan, Chelsea just going for it or another top team. I wish some people on here could at least admit that but say I’d rather so and so.

Apparently his best performance according to FC Hitler fans.

However,no goals,no assists and a 4-1 defeat.
If he was so good they'd want to keep him.
