PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Tolmie

During your intel gathering have you heard anything about the Independent Footie Regulator. Last I read a month or so back was that the gvmt had concluded it’s consultation, had prepared a White Paper and would debate the matter when Parliamentary time allowed.
Could easily see it kicked forward to beyond the next election?.

Ha ha ha, tainted? Two fucks I could not give to anyone complaining how we’ve won. In fact, their salty words just make my Moretti taste even better.
Tainted? ONLY in the view of City haters. If it was Stretford United in the Dock I'd be the same, I don't need Universal approval I can see with my own eyes how the club is evolving as a "tainted" brand!.

How many times does it need saying on this thread that Rangers were never punished? The situations are nowhere near comparable. They liquidated, entire business could not afford to survive so went kaput and started again as a new club. There was no punishment.

We have been accused of wrongdoing which we absolutely deny. An entirely different situation.

Either they were not punished or it’s a new club, you can’t have it both ways.

The Everton case is complete bullshit.

The relegated clubs want Everton punished for breaking FFP after they got relegated.

But you can’t punish someone for a crime they hadn’t committed yet. Everton’s books were checked and were fine for the season in question (21/22).

The fact they broke FFP the next season is completely irrelevant.

I’d be pretty worried for our case if the independent panel side with the relegated sides.

you’ve just explained how the punishment was either being dissolved or being relegated 4 tiers.

Liquidation isn't a punishment though? The footballing authorities have absolutely zero say in whether a business liquidates or not.

They were liquidated as a consequence of financial mismanagement which meant that they could no longer afford to survive.

I'm baffled that some are seeing any kind of similarities to our own predicament here.

FFP is accessed Over 3 seasons with a limit on cumulative loss which in Everton’s case was 372m the limit being 105m Everton claimed that Covid was the reason for the excess yet it’s considerable more than any other club have claimed The clubs relegated last season are awaiting the outcome with compensation claims being considered

it’s not happening.

They cleared FFP in 21/22. With the covid exceptions yes, but those were cleared.

The relegated clubs are upset that they failed the next season and think they should be entitled to compensation for a breach Everton hadn’t even made when they got relegated.

It’s not going to happen.
