Well said. The absolute final nail for me will be if there's a coorperate section in this new stand. That will be a complete and utter "fuck you" to all the fans.

I'm calling it now, if the club don't start considering the fans when making decisions, things are going to get very ugly very quickly

I don't think things will get ugly at all. Fans will get fed up and simply drift away.

I threw the towel in at the end of last season. I'd had enough of travelling miles to home games, struggle to find decent parking etc, to spend 90+ minutes watching one way football, with opposition teams trying to kill games, surrounded by non-City fans in a stadium too often devoid of any real atmosphere.

It's daft really, we won the treble with the best City team I've ever seen, and I was, more often than not, bored at most matches.

I find it just as entertaining and infinitely more comfortable to sit at home and watch the matches on TV/streams.
That's likely to be the future for most fans of 'elite' clubs.

Going to matches hasn't been the same for me since I stopped going to away games. That's where the atmosphere has always been best.

The City Group has created a sterile, almost fake atmosphere. Looking at comments on away ticket allocations / agencies etc, it seems they're gradually phasing out traditional support.

Have West Ham fans got an atmosphere thread on their forums? ;-)

Hate to break it to you but the new stand will have two corporate areas. The rest of the tickets will be filled by tourists and new fans - with a very small number of season tickets to tick a box to supposedly keep everybody happy. No doubt there will be a load of empty seats included even for games sold out in before the season starts in August cause that’s what the cunts running City specialise in arranging.

But it won’t turn ugly. Anybody that would have dissented in the past has been squeezed out of the club.

There is no fans group that fight any causes. The OSC are there to sort tickets out for their member across the globe - 1894 are there to sort out flags and smoke bombs , and City Matters are there to tick a box.

Was up in SSL3 and had to pop to the toilet around 55 minutes and there was a group of 20/25 people stood on the concourse drinking and chanting City songs.

Not sure if this happens every game but I could not get my head round it.

It does. Odd behaviour.

There is movement within the club already regarding the atmosphere and the North stand expansion.

It may lead to something positive? It may lead to what we all want? Hopefully! It may not lead to too much? We’ll hopefully find out in the coming 2 years whilst the North stand is under construction.

Will be far too late in 2 years. The new stand will open after Pep and all his staff have fucked off when the club have to deal with a huge vacuum that will take years to recover from from.

Pep may extend his contract again? Probably not, but you never know with Pep. After doing the treble last season, and hopefully winning the World Club trophy, Pep will have won almost every trophy City can win, so he might decide it’s time to go back to Barcelona at the end of his current contract?

Something needs to be done. I think the expansion is our last chance to try and sort something out. I think The 1894 group, supporters clubs and anyone with an interest in need to get together and sort this out.

I’ve no idea of the figures involved but your average match going fan for decades doesn’t bring in huge amounts of income the club needs in order to compete and comply. If they want to increase revenue from all sources then packages will be the way forwards.

It’s not yet been confirmed but I understand no Seasoncards went on general sale for this season. I was interesting in getting one so I kept an eye on it all. Saw nothing.

I can confirm there were definitely no new ones this season.

Or last season, save for a very limited amount of silvers.

Stop songs about the rags unless they are visiting Manchester and the shit champions again is too frequent The biggest issue is the number of different areas that sing and the lack of coordination Hopefully it will be addressed when the north stand is populated

Watching West Ham V Wolves.

Plenty of empty seats.
Hardly any singing from both sets of fans.
As we’ve all agreed, it’s not only at City where the match day atmosphere is dieing.

It’s happening at every club. I’m watching Liverpool vs United and other than the odd chant it’s been pretty quiet.

Even teams like villa and Newcastle. I’ve seen their fans complain about atmosphere, increasing corporate areas and how tickets are being distributed. There’s a number of factors, which are killing the noise levels at most grounds

That's also when the tourists will stop coming and the club will find it needs new season ticket holders and more sensible pricing, just as core fans retire and, possibly, the 115 lies result in sanctions. Who knows, the Rags might even have got their act together by then. We are living through a golden age from a football perspective, and a business perspective, where all the stars have aligned, but ups and downs are inevitable.

Anfield has been like this since the post covid season. Actual fans around the country are being priced out and forgotten about because you have resellers selling tickets to tourists and fans who aren’t usual match goers because they know it’s going to bring them in a 300% mark up for games like todays. It seems to only be the successful teams that they all go to and City are the new favourite of the global fanbase. Give it 10 years and it’ll all be back to normal in regards to getting tickets but it’s a kick in the bollocks to those who’ve been going for a whole. 0 loyalty restrictions for the Real Madrid game was only the start and the farce of ticket selling for this season ruined the experience for many fans who have spent so much following City over the years and thrown them under the bus because of the singular profit for the tickets sold instead of season tickets. At the end of the day, football now is becoming a business venture and the true fans of clubs are nothing more than an afterthought who get a token gesture like the commemorative medals once a year. And in no way am I against tourists coming to football it’s a sign of how far we’ve come but the fans who’ve spent over the years and been loyal should be getting priority.

There’s at least 10 not renewed near me (hopefully not because of me lol) and all have been replaced by different day trippers every game, do season ticket holders not being replaced with season ticket holders. Bad for the atmosphere and bad for youngsters who want to become regulars. Shame on City for that
