Hope there's no truth to this whole "attitude problem" thing. It's not really a river plate thing as some followers of Argentinian football on reddit and twitter have also said the same.

Funny how those "attitude problem" rumours always start as soon as City look like signing someone.

He's been touted as the next Messi his whole childhood. That's bound to nurture an 'attitude' or arrogance of some description.

If it's even true, hopefully he grows out of it by learning from world class players and developing in City's environment.

If not, he'll go the same way as Sancho, Cancelo, etc. Which would be his loss and not ours.

We got a much more developed/established version of Alvarez for half of the quoted price, so I don't understand bitter River Plate fans crying that a 17-year-old with a handful of senior apps is leaving for 25m. That's very good money for them if you ask me. He is very talented, but still just 17 and raw. There is a reason why we are keeping him there for another year. The fans can blame the player all they want, but their board approved of this transfer after all. Comes across as bitter and childish.

All of them wants to go Europe, but if you commited with the club that made you know the four meals in a day, the club and its fans deserves your respect and commitment
Fuck off you are the one an ungrateful **** and a prick. Take your tiny dick energy somewhere and learn to grow up.

I think they are just salty he's leaving. People said the same about Vini Jr when he signed his Madrid deal.
To be fair they're probably fed up and frustrated that all their most talented leaving to play in Europe, rather than staying and improving the standard of South American football. But I think that's a problem for CONMEBOL to sort out. Clubs don't really seem to invest much to keep their best on that side of the Atlantic, more interested in cashing in on them, I'm sure if they put the money up, more would stay.

To all the River Plate fans.

Even though River Plate play in red and white ;-) I much prefer River Plate over Boca. I’d like to go and watch River Plate play at home one day so I can sample the amazing atmosphere of a River Plate match and be part of it.

If City offered you the chance to play for the best team in the world,‘official’, to be coached by the best manager in the world, to play with some of the best players in the world, to play in the best league in the world, and to be paid money beyond your wildest dreams, all of you would take that chance and do it. You’d be mad not to. Just be happy for the lad. He has a bright future in front of him at a club that will look after him, make him a better player, with a chance of winning more trophies. All he has to put up with is the infamous Manchester rain and weather. It’s raining now. :-(

Can I add and provide a different, more sacrificial angle, as Tevez found out there are no decent restaurants, no fine Argentinian steak, Nolito said it was like living in a cave without sunlight. It is windy, wet and can be cold. Have some pity on the lad!

His wallet will be considerably heavier that is certainly true!

I'm assuming you mean "in" Alvarez...
