Why the delay rearranging Brentford home fixture?
Thanks MateAround 6 weeks in advance so should be this week or next.
1. I suspect the club want to make full use of the "winter break" to get our injured players back to fuller fitness. Why the delay rearranging Brentford home fixture?
was hoping it would be at weekend not midweek, I see Brentford got a draw this round.1. I suspect the club want to make full use of the "winter break" to get our injured players back to fuller fitness.
2. 5th round of the FA Cup is a midweek slot, so probably waiting to see if that becomes available after round 4.
I think the only chance of a weekend date would be 6th round or SF weekend if us and Brentford are out and Brighton or Spurs are still involved plus Brentford's opponents.was hoping it would be at weekend not midweek, I see Brentford got a draw this round.
Seems a little off that City will have to play Brentford twice with Ivan Toney
What are the odds on that, eh?was hoping it would be at weekend not midweek, I see Brentford got a draw this round.

OK hopefully midweek then, shame as Spurs away will most likely move midweek late on in run in aswellI think the only chance of a weekend date would be 6th round or SF weekend if us and Brentford are out and Brighton or Spurs are still involved plus Brentford's opponents.
The chances of playing either fixture before his permitted return on 17/01/24 were incredibly low so the odds on us playing them twice when he's available are almost a dead cert. What are the odds on that, eh?
Prediction for the home Derby date? Sky will want it, so not 12:30 saturday, that's the TNT Slot. Both Sky and TNT share the Saturday 17:30 slot so it could be then...
Both of us (or none) could have FA Cup round 5 on the previous Wednesday, and we definitely have Copenhagen at home in the second leg the following Wednesday. Smart money would be on 4:30pm on the Sunday March 3rd??
The article said Tues Feb 20th at 7.45pm. We await official confirmation.Brentford apparently posted a web article at 1.35pm confirming the date for our home fixture but have now taken it down, the link just gives a 404 error.
Probably jumped the gun?

I hope it is that time - it’s during half term and a great opportunity to take my kids to a game.Cheers, already taken down by the time I spotted it
tbf we've had our fair few in the first half of the season, it's the same every year, always have loads before xmas then for the title run-in we're on tv near every game.Assuming united and arsenal will be on TV which us a given, we won't have a Saturday 3pm home game until at least mid April when we play Luton. That game and wolves are the only 2 home games for the remainder of the season that might be Saturday 3pm and even those are reasonably likely to be moved.
Last season, the only home Saturday 3pm game once the calendar turned to 2023 was Leeds and that was weird circumstances - should have been a lunchtime kickoff but had to be put back due to the coronation yet remained on live TV. Couldn’t move it to Sunday due to CL commitments.Assuming united and arsenal will be on TV which us a given, we won't have a Saturday 3pm home game until at least mid April when we play Luton. Was hoping it was because the club had acknowledged the problems fans have in getting home after the game and that all future midweeks would have earlier kick offs. Too much to hope for I suppose.Presumably the earlier kick off is because there are CL games that night
