Paragraph 84 - reference made to 5 years earlier that the EFL adopted sanctioning guidelines for breaches of it's PSR
Paragraph 85 - the PL has not incorporated any such guidelines in it's rules
Paragraph 86 - in August 23 - the PL board adopts a PSR sanctions policy which the Chief Executive presents to the Commision.
So they clearly changed the process and sanctions in order to present a case against Everton.
Paragraph 89 - registers the Commisions concern that it was set up on this basis by the PL and that there was an attempt to change it in the middle of the case

I would say there is evidence of an inappropriate attempt to influence due process.
I would also question how independent the Commission actually is. We end up with an arbitrary decision which appears to result from pressure applied by the PL.
Anyone can download the Commission report it's easy enough to do.

We can't download it if we don't know where it is. Save us searching, and provide a link.

No, this is wrong.

The PL rules say, and have said for a long time, that the sanctions can be whatever is deemed appropriate by the independent panel.

Everton and other clubs fairly wanted to know what the sanctions might be considered appropriate so they asked the PL to block out roughly what they considered an appropriate sanction to be.

The Premier League did that, but reminded them all that the panel is independent and it’s them who decides ultimately.

There was no changing of rules, there was nothing done to spite Everton, there was no abuse of process (certainly no evidence of it)

Para 89 has absolutely no bearing in the document to your summary, I really think you’ve misunderstood that. Theres nothing to do with “an attempt to change the process”.

Isn't the fact they voted for it the whole point though.

Back in 2013 they did it to maintain their position and tried to fuck over clubs trying to spend their owners money to improve.

We have told fans of other teams for years this was just to benefit the red tops but nobody cared. Now finally after all these years one of the turkeys want us to feel sorry for them at Christmas.
Great analogy.

Ifs and buts, if the teams you mentioned had performed better they'd have been further up the league. We messed up financially but does the punishment fit the crime so be it? Had we gone into administration we would have I believe only got a 9 points deduction.
So where did the PL get a 10 points deduction from. The lack of transparency in their process is alarming, and you get the impression they're making it up as they go along.
Everton need to get on board with the blue clubs, City/Chelsea. Being Cucked by sticking with Red Tops. Go tell your blue mates.

Everton deserve a points deduction, They've been fiddling the books, They have also admitted that they have cheated and inflated figures.

The thing is, The rules that Everton have broken are the rules that they have agreed to along with every other Premier League Club, This is not an independent investigation, The Premier League is made up of it's members.

People also need to remember Everton were one of five teams to break away from the Football League and left the other 80 clubs to fend for themselves...

The media need to stop going on like that are being treated harshly, They are cheats and deserve the punishment that they are facing by the Premier League.

YouTube idiots along with Twitter idiots haven't a brain to bless themselves with, City's 115 charges are completely different to what Everton are being charged with by the Premier League.

Let's get it right, People aren't pissed off that Everton are being deducted points, They are pissed off that Manchester City aren't being punished and that's what all this boils down to really.

In a nutshell, this.

R.I.P John Hurst

Great player.

Sad news . I remember him from my teenage years.. Wore a no.10 and played alongside Brian Labone if I remember. Everton had one or two similar kind of utility players to the outsider at least about then, Mike Lyons, Terry Darracott and someone D'Arcy I think.

Said on here a few times over the years how I've always liked Everton since being a kid.

I remember seeing and enjoying the great side built by Harry Catterick play in the early 60s (especially Alex Young), so I wish you fans and your team well, except whenever playing us!

There have been some rocky moments in recent years, though. For example, David Moyes' criticisms of City, especially around the time of the Lescott transfer, were frankly a bit 'beyond the Pale'. And in recent weeks since the 10 point nonsense was imposed upon you, there has been unnecessary pointing of fingers at City by some of your support.

I say 'unnecessary' because, as nuanced as the problems created by FFP are in both UEFA and Premier League iterations, there is at the heart of it all a simple, common enemy that we share (along with every other club, from Newcastle southwards)

And that enemy is the 'Red Tops & Levy cartel' that has been seeking to accrete power and riches over the past two decades, all at the expense of the rest of the 'football family' they would have us believe they want to be a part of, the hypocritical twunts.

I hope that we are cleared of the PL charges asap.. and I hope the same for Everton (and Forest, too).

And here's to this PL/UEFA financial nonsense being dropped altogether to be replaced by something that's fit for purpose and actually IS fair to all clubs up and down the football ladder.

I sure ain't one of those pointing any fingers at City. I hope you are cleared very soon. How dare any team spend the money they make themselves? How dare an owner invest in a team? Newcastle looking at selling players to stay in line of the rules? I mean Newcastle! owner has endless amounts of dosh, but them rules must be obeyed. Meanwhile, Chelsea, spend as you like, pay in 8 years time, Uncle FFP is fine with it. United, how much are they in debt? does anyone actually know? Does Uncle FFP care? Sheff Utd, good boys, come into league, do nothing to improve, go straight back down with a pat on the head. Everton and Forest, very very naughty cheats, an example must be made. Then there is LIverpool, the perfect team, an example to us all. Doing it all for nothing, for the love of the game. Uncle FFP beams with delight when he sees not one penny have they spent.

The rules were brought in to protect certain clubs. Newcastle are now a danger to the elite and thus must be towed into line. City, well they did it before the rules, and they pissed off the elite, who sulk, and moan, and claim it is unfair, so nasty City much be punished, 115 times. City are cheats, they ruin the game.

I keep reading and hearing this 'Cheat' City cheat, Forest cheat, Everton cheat etc! However, there is only one incident I can recall (I may be wrong) that was actual cheating, and that was a certain team hacking into a rival teams system. The cheating bastards.
