PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

That's a really clear summary of the main points.
Wonder what city s irrefutable evidence is in summary. Take a guess evidence of Etisalat paying the sponsorship money back, agreement made between them to pay it back that type of thing.

Etisalat was described in the CAS award.

Edit: But it is small beer compared to their allegations, probably, about Etihad.

If a guilty verdict comes in (NOT SAYING IT WILL), most fans of Liverpool, Arsenal etc are saying that stripping of titles etc is an absolute must. That'd be absolutely devastating, wouldn't it? Can't see it myself.
You are obviously trolling now!

You have been given detailed replies by posters who took you at your word.

Time to fuck fuckity off now

I do have some sympathy with him as it must of been devastating losing his wife to cancer.

However he seems to have channeled all his grief and anger into an all-out attack on us and trying to make people believe his conspiracy theories.

For the sake of his own health he clearly needs help
He's heading down the David Icke rabbit hole I'm afraid.

The National League will do for me, will be able to go to York away again with the other 120,000 City fans who trotted up last time..

No worries mate. We're generally a good bunch, but like all families we have an oddball or two. :-)

In terms of the 115 charges, it's actually more like 5 breaches recurring from 2009 up to 2018, with non-cooperation breach included on every breach to dramatically bump things up for effect!

Someone gave a brilliant analogy saying imagine if you got into a fight & were charged with assault. You threw 20 punches, so were given an assault charge for every punch thrown. That's exactly what the PL have done with their breaches regarding City. Absolutely crazy!

As for Everton & Forest, their situation is totally different to ours. They've gone over their permitted losses & aren't contesting those breaches. However both are putting forward mitigating circumstance as to the reasons why they went beyond their permitted £105m loss over three seasons limit.

Everton are claiming issues to do with the pandemic & new stadium costs as mitigating circumstances, & Forest have been hit because two of the seasons affecting them were in the Championship, which has a £60m permitted losses over three seasons limit. If you recall, Forest had to buy a whole new squad the season they came up, as most of their promotion squad were loan players.

UEFA/G14 have made accusations of false accounting against City, & we've denied those accusations as I outlined to you previously, hence our situation being totally different & far more complex that those of Forest & Everton.

Fans of the "bigger clubs" are clamouring for our demotion to the Northwest Counties Sunday League, the stripping of every title & Cup won since 2009, a £1bn fine for every guilty breach (because our crooked owner can afford it), & for Haaland & Pep to be paraded naked to the gates of the dilapidated Old Toilet stadium & publicly flogged. ¯\_(⊙_ʖ⊙)_/¯

What opposition fans have failed to do is read beyond the sensationalist headlines & listen to anyone more coherent than the seriously unhinged Nick Harris who's apparently changed his name to Nick "City Are As Guilty As Fuck" Harris, to further get his anti-City agenda across.

Personally, I don't think the PL are driving this. Everone senses they know they're damaging their prized brand. It's the Red Top Mafia & Spuds who essentially run the PL who're behind this. The fans of Everton, Forest, Newcastle & Villa are slowly waking up to the reality of the situation.

Newcastle claim to be the richest club on the planet, but yet they can't afford the £7m loan fee City want for Kalvin Philips, through fear it'll tip them over the FFP edge.

However, ManUre & Spuds are in over £1bn debt each, but as long as they can make the bank repayments, they can spend several times the amount, debt-free Newcastle can. That's FFP/PSR for you!

FFP was never about debt. It was always about stopping City & PSG from challenging the European elite by creating a glass ceiling the chasing pack could never go beyond, hence protecting the hegemony of the G14 clubs.

The ongoing FFP/PSR gymnastics is all about further amending their rules to stop another City happening (as Newcastle & Villa are finding out), but in such a way it doesn't affect the Red Top Mafia & Spuds. It's a nasty business.

The issue the PL now have is that in constantly changing their rules so they can retrospectively keep going after City, everyone else is being caught up in their rules too, & they're threatening to kill by far the richest sporting league in history, all because of the Red Top Mafia & Spuds' deranged obsession of stopping City.

Look at this transfer window. Have you ever known one so quiet? Newcastle, Palace & WHU want Kalvin Philips on loan, but all are terrified of falling foul of FFP/PSR.

Ultimately, the PL are in the process of killing the goose which laid their golden egg, but if it stops City & an emerging Newcastle & Villa, the Red Top Mafia & Spuds don't care. Complete & utter madness! ¯\_(⊙_ʖ⊙)_/¯

Spot on but the January transfer is dead for one reason!? It got serious there is actually point deductions! Just look how that gets the owners really looking at the finances! So it tells you also that clubs were spending money they didn't have!

If this Carries on player wages will drop fees for players will drop...

This is true. The level of illegal behaviour we'd have to be engaged in for this to happen is absurd.

It just got pedalled around when the news first broke and then opposition fans started dividing our trophies amongst themselves.
You’d also end up with clubs who finished 5th in those seasons and missed out on CL qualification, or were relegated in 18th place, threatening to sue for loss of earnings. In fact, every club could argue they missed out on prize money with every league place worth a few millions. It’d be a legal and logistical minefield.

I’d imagine La Liga and the Bundesliga are rubbing their hands together at the acts of self harm the PL are doing not only to that entity but to the actual members of the PL.

Day one of the hearing
Man City who is your first witness….
Man City - uniteds new CEO
Question: Were you the exec who sacked City employees for selling confidential info to Liverpool?
Then see what they do!
Small correction.

Came across this write up about Tebas.

Few extracts:

LaLiga president Javier Tebas admits he has “denounced” Manchester City to UEFA and is now keenly observing whether an independent panel will find the club guilty following 115 charges for breaches of the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules.

There is no denying there have been many irregularities,” said Tebas, speaking to Caught Offside in Saudi Arabia where he is visiting for the Club World Cup which Manchester City are favourites to win. “We already denounced these to UEFA. We don’t yet know what the decision from the Premier League’s case against the club will be, but Manchester City were already sanctioned by UEFA once, yet due to a formal defect they appealed at CAS.

Tebas is currently in Jeddah and working closely with Saudi authorities. LaLiga recently announced Visit Saudi as a partner and they are exploring opening a new Saudi office in 2024.

Yet back in 2020 Tebas told reporters in London that Saudi’s sports project is “whitewashing” and accused the government of being part of the pirate network channel ‘beoutQ’, which stole LaLiga games along with other high-profile sports rights from Qatari broadcaster beIN Sports.

I said that [Saudi Arabia was using sport to ‘whitewash’] three years ago in London and back then I didn’t know enough about Saudi Arabia and their plans,” he said. “Now, I have changed my mind and seen great progress in Saudi. I have changed my mind generally about Saudi because the country has been changing a lot. It’s more open now and it would be a huge error not to change my opinion about Saudi as a result”

“I would accept a job to be the Saudi Pro League president!” Lol

Corrupt wanker.
I think the weight of Sheik Mansours trust within the UAE will ensure the fat **** will never ever get a job within football over there.

If it becomes obvious that we don't have a case to answer he will have to fall on his sword.

oh, I agree with that.
If the hearing is in the autumn, that'll be the trigger for it (IMO).

Either that, or they'll end up with no CEO for quite a long time while claiming they can run themselves properly!

The guy voting against was German. A junior in his practice wrote a piece “proving” that City were guilty.
It is said that it is common practice at CAS for members of a panel not to vote against their own nominator if it would result in 3-0. Not sure just how true that is.
It's probably false. This would mean this guy gets to see both other votes before casting his own on every single decision. I can't see that being possible.

Our owners aren't providing billions to the UK economy either though. Positive I've read your owners (indirectly) are very pally with the Tory government so maybe that will help in the long run? Either outcome is going to be a war - City are found innocent, every club who have been punished so far or have stuck by FFP and been denied trophies etc will be outraged. Then, if City are found guilty, there'll be a massive, lengthy process of appeals and legal wrangling.

Either way, it's absolutely tarnished the Premier League. We're only little Wrexham but I'm glad we've bypassed this era of the Premier League. It's all corrupt.
Our majority owner is Sheikh Mansour who is the current vice president and deputy prime minister of the United Arab Emirates, he has King Charles and Joe Biden on speed dial for instance. He isn't just 'pally' with the odd tory.

Perhaps the court of public opinion will force an announcement for a date on our hearing, but not expecting anything seismic.
All seems a bit overblown to me
Gonna waste all this time and money to basically find us guilt of non cooperation.
Almost like the 115 charges are geared up to maybe find us guilty of a few small ones and then loads for not cooperating
We say shows were innocent
Then everyone else says we got off on a technicality and we’re still guilty…..
They then change the rules to let united spend a shit ton more money trying to catch up
