PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I've noticed a definite change in tone now we've got new supporters.
I'm welcoming of all new supporters but I don't like the rag element of arrogance that seems to be surfacing.

I know it's not all new fans but you can see who went through the "character building" of following us when we were shite.
T
I don't think it's down to new supporters. I think shows like that encourage clickbait/controversy.

Who cares if you look like a dick when there's money to be made?

The thing is money talks, Plus the controlling powers of the stadium are not just Manchester City
I would never let them share our stadium (Never) even if they were on their last legs with a begging bowl
I'm pretty sure that it's entirely down to City, MCC may ask nicely but that's all they can do.

Yeah fair enough in this instance. Was just speaking generally. Couple of threads on Reddit for example, I find it hard to work out who's a blue and who's a prick

pretty sure the Politbureau down the town hall, can't just phone up a Council House tennant and say...by the way...we've rented out your back bedroom to a family of international financiers while they move house...make em feel at home would you?

Excellent - another 2 years of being slagged off, the club undermined, transfer targets put off, investment streams hit. Looking forward to the biggest counter lawsuit (apologies GDM) in sporting history in 2027 then.
Transfer targets have never been put off. One chat with our management team & its done

All of course true - but who's to say how much better of we'd have been across the whole commercial and playing boards without this huge distraction and detraction. Extremely hard to quantify.
As we get nearer and nearer to an inevitable crunch time and the baying mob voices are raised higher - it must have some negative effect. Can't just dismiss it as inane ramblings and the product of echo chambers of nonsense - the charges are real, the publicity is on the whole negative, questions have even been asked in Parliament.
Haaland was indeed a coup - but lets not dismiss his Dad's input and that they must have known any punishment was many months off.
best in the world - can’t get much better

When they are on their last legs with a begging bowl.
Tell them they can use our ground...

Then pull out at the last minute when it's to late to sort anything else out.
They can't play any games and they're forced to go into liquidation.
Perfect fuck them

Whilst we have been scooping up the big prizes and generally having a ball watching our beloved team take on the finest Europe (and the world) can muster, we should never take our eyes off the fact that rags are, always have - and always will be - cunts.

I think it's Sport England or something like that co-own the stadium and Manchester City pay MCC a leasing fee based on the attendances over 36.000

That was the initial agreement but it changed years ago. We are the sole leaseholder and we pay a set rent each year - it's no longer tied to attendances or additional income. Sport England own the stadium but the rent is paid to the council. We decide what, if any, additional events or temporary guests are held / approved

When do the new rules for ffp kick in and are they still running the £105 million rolling 3 year system into when they publish this years accounts? If they are keeping it for the time being they are fucked with the losses they’ve made in 2022 and 2023. How do they turn that into profit for 2024 with potentially no champions league football, they need a huge investment in their squad with players that they would struggle to move on in their current squad. I imagine they probably wouldn’t be able to afford to sack Ten Hag as well. No wonder Scruffy Jim is telling them they need to make cuts to staff at Old Trafford to claw money back.

I hope he’s getting buyers remorse now he’s had chance to pull the floorboards up and find what’s hiding underneath at the swamp.

Them getting champs league this season would save them!

Reckon they'll have to sell Rashford if they want to refresh the squad
