PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

It is the day Vincenso Grappa aka @VinnyGrappa are saying we are supposed to get our punishment. Interesting to know what he will be saying. I am blocked so I can`t see for myself. My guess is he is blocking everybody with a different opinion for today, cause he knows he will be called out. I would be happy for anyone giving me an update throughout the day.

Didn't he post it be sorted on 18th may

Would be interested in knowing whether this is true or whether there are serious omissions in the reporting - Project River anybody else ? The Swedish Rumble stuff not the Harris/ video rubbish)

I am not worried at all by these charges or where it will head. The main problem for the league is they're completely out of their depth legally because none of these charges are criminal accusations. They're accusations based upon rules that the Premier League has just made up.

I expect a settlement to be offered because if not the end result will be that the rules are put to the test in a real court where they're not fighting against a football club, they're fighting against a country... The end result is inevitable because the difference in scale is mental, david versus goliath is an understatement.

The charges are basically an accusation of cheating and so imagine if city are somehow found guilty, that means that the UAE government are associated and known as cheats. The gulf states do not mess about with this kind of thing and they'll spend billions and billions to fight such an accusation without a second thought.

They could even threaten to pull billions of investment out of the UK in protest. They will not invest in an environment where they're called cheats for the simple crime of investing their own money.

It’s corporate litigation and completely normal.

You don’t give the other party an inch and make them fight for everything.

Harris et al seem to think City should have responded to being accused of financial fraud with open arms and invited the Premier League to the Etihad stadium for tea and biscuits with the Sheikh.

It is quite clearly bullshit. None of what has been officially reported by anyone out there ties in with that theory.

If Swedish Rumble had anything to say that was worth listening to, he wouldn't have to pick a social media handle that piggybacks on the identity of an acknowledged and properly clued-up guy who genuinely is an expert on this subject. File under ignore.

Yep - we should have said fair cop, we got ideas above our station and we apologise unreservedly to United and Liverpool for interrupting their monopoly.
We shan't be contesting your findings as we know you have acted out of the best interests of football and completely impartially.
