The 2019 intake needs culling, so even if we don’t get the best government, hopefully the house will fill up with people that can debate and can be civil and act as statespeople for us as a nation.
Truth is we don't know what kind of government we will get utill we are a few years in. Im optimistic that they will be good, I very much doubt they could be any worse.

The practice of throwing assorted produce at politicians or people of note has a long history in this country and elsewhere. The earliest incident on record took place in 63 AD when Roman governor Vespasian was hit with turnips.

You have to respect our traditions, although I would stick to milky liquids and avoid turnips.
I would have thought the objective of throwing a milky liquid is to douse the turnip not avoid it.

That's pretty much my view.

I just hope that if they do indeed get a huge majority, that they do something unpopular but that needs doing.

It tends to be expensive to do it though, but burn some goodwill in the first year and hope it pays back after 3 years.

No matter what party gets in nothing will change because they’re all thieving cheating lying untrustworthy fucking cunts every single one of them and they don’t give a flying fuck about us lot.
I think the vast majority of MPs go into Parliment with honourable intentions of serving the people and doing a good job. But unfortunately some get swayed by doing things that are in their best interests and not ours. The issue with this current government is that they have been in power way too long, they believe their own self importance, hype and even lies, which, if it comes from the top, then becomes the norm for the rest of them. I believe you should always use your vote, as this is your chance to affect change.

Sadly it's probably not possible to get into parliament without owing favours (or money) to some powerful lobby group along the way.

We still are surprisingly a very wealthy nation compared to most countries in the world and there is money, it just needs to be distributed better.
It is comparatively wealthy but if it cannot borrow or attract investment to the degree needed, it is going to find satisfying the needs of the people challenging. Is there an appetite for redistribution?

Agree with that. The whips need their own watchmen after a long time to keep an eye on how far the party have strayed from good government - a cabinet of people so rich should have been a warning sign within the party.

Also, the purge/high turnover around Brexit and Johnson's win got an awful lot of untested unvetted people standing - a number of those were clearly wrong 'uns or at least not up to the job.
