We lost 2-1 to them last night, not full strength on both sides but not academy line ups either - probably 6/7 1st XI starters on each team.

It's a friendly so hard to make conclusions - we missed an absolute hatful of chances particularly from Jesus (who knew?), Salah remains class.

Both teams look a level below City (PL City not pre-season City!!!) - Arsenal's issue would be sorted with someone who could finish. Dippers were neat and tidy but didn't have the intensity you'd expect - however, once again, pre-season friendly so nothing much to read into it.

That's very harsh. He had an outstanding season for the barcodes. Yes; they're a level below the top three, and found their (current) true level last season. But that doesn't alter the fact that he was excellent for them. It'd be interesting to see how he'd develop under Pep, or Captain Scarlet.

Last season we had to hear about how wonderful Klopps Kids were! Klopp was a hero for bringing them into the first XI. Stats for 23/24 season don’t back that up! It was myth.
