I don't understand why all the rumour and bad stuff. He is a gem of a guy and an incredible footballer. He will still contribute loads to us when he is back and I don't believe we would have lost three on the trot with him playing.

I’m certain Tolmie has good info.

Hopefully Jack will be in the City squad this weekend.

No one player will necessarily make the difference but Jack is one who on form helps make City a better team. For City, he has become one of those players who knits things together and that is not what a lot of people expected or wanted and is often an under-appreciated quality but a very important one.

I guess I missed whatever this speculation was but assumed people weren't happy with his fitness record.

He did but his constant injury sadly didn't help the team at all when we need him the most.

I'd say, for most of us, 'performance' doesn't include periods where the player is unavailable

When he's not played he can't really help his performances ehhhh.
I will temper that by restating - if he pulls on an England shirt in the next 2 weeks he'll be fucked with Pep, don't see a comeback if that happens

Could be, but why would we risk him playing in games for England returning from injury when he hasn't played a minute for us recently??

That'd be good, but he clearly won't be anywhere near match fit. Maybe better to give him minutes for England so he's nearer match fit when he returns. It's a risk obviously, but may be what we're thinking
