Perhaps I can explain?

The Independent Commission have not yet decided between themselves whether any of the charges are even guilty or not. This is a process that will take months. And then after that there will be a whole different hearing that will take more months to determine appropriate punishments with both sides giving aggravating factors and mitigations.

So saying some guy has heard the punishment when this "trial" is only about whether there's guilt or not, and then a whole other "trial" to determine that punishment seems unlikely.

As I said elsewhere, the people who make the decisions about the punishment don't know the punishment so I find it hard to believe that some random guy does.

Do you know anything at all about where the hearing process is?

It's been explained multiple times now why nobody can possibly know what any punishment, if any at all, will be.

It's not a question of the people who understand that knowing it all, it's a question of people talking about punishments not knowing anything.

This theory is bollocks. If the whole squad of players knew something it's inconceivable that not one of them or their agents would leak something to the press.

I could be wrong but I'm not aware that UEFA's rules allow any other route to appeal a decision outside CAS.

That probably is the case, as CAS is widely regarded as the leading brand, and recognized by most if not all sporting bodies. but then we would not be in a UEFA competition would we, if an appeal had failed.
It was a threat by City, but one that CAS could not dismiss.
