IPTV

My IPTV app on both Firecube TVs went off just before the Scouse/Rags game came back just after the game fully functional. Message showing was “cannot connect to internet - try later” I had surf shark VPN switched on set to Switzerland. Obviously a big push on unofficial streaming.
Making sure my Kodi back up is in place and working.

We also struggled yesterday with the buffering circle, and tried everything to rectify the auntie. Cleared cache, restarted TV, changed HDMI slots, prayed, reset the router and then prayed some more. Transpired it was the VPN was set to USA. We reset it back to Manchester and all was well once more.

When I’ve had these issues in the past, I’ve watched the game on a Spanish channel with the added blessing of Spanish commentary and a VPN set to Madrid.

There was outages everywhere for that game mate, our supplier keeps us upto date and because it was such a big game they really tried to shut it all down.

I think this thread proves that there’s no such thing as a totally reliable alternative to the legit services.

The one I’ve got is exceptional value for money but you can never really rely on it. People who’ve been in this game for decades assure me that I’ve got one of the best out there as well. So it’s not like I’m paying for a low end set up.

I was considering going all in when my contract with Virgin is up soon. But I think now I’m going to just going to maybe ditch TNT and that will more than pay for the IPTV as a decent back up, rather than relying on it for everything.

Sky goes off all the time. 'Can't receive a satellite signal
I saw all the game but had to switch channels a few times on box

This is exactly what I did. Ditched everthing I didn't want on Sky and TNT. My Mrs likes the ease of SkyQ so we still have that but a "fully loaded" on both TVs allows me the flexibility to watch in either room. The biggest benefit is to take one with us when we go away.

i'd be getting a new box. Only during very heavy rain do we ever lose the satellite signal and even then it's usually only for a couple of minutes.

I know last nights game was on ITV but I put Sky on through IPTV just after the game finished and it was completely fucked, going back then forward, then an error message with no picture whatsoever. Tried other IPTV channels including UK Entertainment, every one of them was down. Anyone experience this? Never had an outage so long or as comprehensive as this.

I did on Sunday during the scouse v Scum game. Never had it before where if sky has gone down i couldn’t get another channel on. Seems they’re habits big go at stopping it at the moment

Now many IPTV installations have you got? It's wise to have at least 2 using different servers.

Just the one subscription but have it on the TV app (Samsung) and the Firestick but I think that will mean it's the same server (I'm not that clued up on IPTV). I've texted my mate who supplies the service but he's notoriously late in answering about any problems.

If it's the same app and you haven't paid extra to have it run on 2 different devices at same time then it will buffer. 'Force stop' the app on the tv.

I've had that happen in the past during some game, can't remember which, all the channels went off. It also happened to both me and my sister during the Tyson Fury v Dillian Whyte fight and that was 2022, so it's definitely happened before.

Ultimately they've been trying to bring it down for years and not been too successful overall. I reckon they'll continue playing catchup.
