PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

If we are found ‘innocent’, I’ll be seriously pissed if the wording by the PL is along the lines of ‘not proven’.

City will have to clamp down on that prior to the release.
There is no evidence of any wrongdoing and the panel is confounded and dismayed that the Premier League persued this action

And there is the new narrative.
"We've got away with it".

Can't stop laughing. I haven't watched the video, doesn't interest me, we'll get an influx now of these nobheads on youtube thinking they've got their finger on the pulse of what's going on.

it is going to be absolutely hilarious watching these mardarses changing their tune from we're guilty to We've got away with it. I hope they put their reverse beacons on with all this backing up.

The narrative is in first instance City bribed the highest sports court in Europe in CAS to ‘get away with it’. Then let the PL drag out a 3 year investigation that went back and forth to the high courts to keep it behind closed doors, then have charges sat over the club for nearly two years whilst paying some of the top legal people in the country on retainers during this period. Then a 10 week hearing in front of an independent panel appointed by the PL.

how expensive would this whole fiasco cost the club fighting it? Yet people want to jump the shark and think the club let it go this far to then pay some people off. If that had happened this sorry affair would have never seen the light of day. We live in a world of false narratives now where people select the truth rather than accept it.

plus. I think 'Not Proven' verdicts are only in Scotland?...i obv defer to m'learned freinds on here..
They are more likely to say “The PL have not proved their case” or something similar. Don’t be inveigled away by Scottish criminal law….’not proven’. Not relevant.
