PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

If the viewing figures are accurate it might explain why Sky are losing subscribers on UK and Italy.
They aren't recognising the change in the tide which is not the first time they've lagged behind market trends.

The likes of Carragher fail to appreciate he is a generation behind and that whilst there's no denying Liverpool and United have huge fan bases, they are getting older and younger generations are following a different path, in completely new markets too.

The Global appeal of the PL really does mean folks from countries who really don't give a toss who was big in the 70s and 80s. It's 50 years ago.
Sky must be experts in their own market, likewise media companies.

It was referencing the viewing figures in this article.
Do you have a link to the article that shows the viewing figures?

Google is filled with Liverpool linked accounts proclaiming them as the club with the largest viewership.

Their home attendance isn't that clever, to be honest. City's highest attendance last season was around 55,000 (capacity) and we averaged around 53,000. Not bad. Liverpool's highest is around 60,000 (capacity) but they averaged 55,000. So that's an average of 5000 empty seats.

Thought our capacity was more like 53,500. Also, wasn't liverpools new stand closed for a lot of last season as they got it finished?

"Broadcast revenue has absolutely nothing to do with how popular a club are or aren't with TV viewers, it's mostly based on what competitions you're in, and slightly on how far you go in them."

you've pretty much contradicted yourself there but never mind, think what you want.

I haven’t contradicted myself at all.

Liverpool were in the Europa league last season. Doesn’t matter if a billion people watched every game, and 5 people watched ours, they weren’t going to get near our Champions League broadcast money.

This year we’re both in the CL, and the only meaningful difference will be if one team gets further than the other and hence a bigger slice of broadcast money.

As much as I hate the twats I have to say that although it registered it as a 60.00 capacity it failed some H/S issues and was closed for a few games before actually officially opening that end of the stadium.
Fuck I feel dirty even writing that. ;)

Who's this dr Wilson guy saying city are getting a 40pt deduction where do they find these people its getting ridiculous!
Just another bloke making a guess based on no inside information or particular knowledge of the case, and another click bait website making out its news.
