PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Outstanding analysis and yes, his stats since the charges were issued are off the scale.

Interestingly, his career stats of 2.24 LPP are still behind your 2.34 LPP ;)

At 0.885 LPP, I definitely need to up my game considerably, even though it isn't far off Erling's goals per game ratio. In mitigation, I have a larger number of career posts to my name than yourself and Peter, and I am ahead of @gordondaviesmoustache who is averaging 0.75 LPP. Then again, he has nearly 4 times as many posts as me!
Interesting stuff. I'd love to know what is the MLP in forum history,

LPP is misleading as the post count includes an extensive period when likes weren’t an option, which places recently registered posters at a discernible advantage. The only fair way of calculating this is via the Post Like Option Implementation Likes Per Post (‘PLOILPP’) method.

Exactly. I dare say one of our IT specialists good dig out a league table of PLOILPP from some deep database or other.

Also, it's easy to be a tap in merchant and hang round the six yard box scoring likes with the occasional zinger. Anyone can do that. If you're going to engage in meaningful debate, belittle the low hanging fruit or get involved in a long standing beef, you're going to impact your LPPs significantly.

The best way to get an optimum LPP/PLOILPP is to simply post ‘SCUM’, ‘Granny Shagger’, ‘Dog Wanker’ and ‘GNIAC’ in the appropriate threads.

Nice! LPP. I like it.

Now if somebody could just please take the time to explain to me how to post pictures I'll be in the off topic area posting pics of Helen Skelton and Joanne Froggatt.

Of course the number of "likes" may not necessarily be an indication of quality. See Love Island, The Daily Mail, Strictly, I'm a celeb etc. Hence my meagre LPP, as clearly my posts are top drawer.

Maybe a sliding scale of LLP multipliers that introduce a "degree of difficulty" or "DoD" as a benchmark for future performance data, whilst adding "Artistic Impression" or "AI" for presentation. For example:

"FFS Mahrez"
XL 9.7 x DoD 0.1 x AI 0.1 = LPP 0.097

"Calvin Phillips would be great on Strictly"
XL 0.1 x DoD 10 x AI 4.5 = LPP 4.5

Calvin is the clear winner, which takes the low hanging fruit out of the equation, as it does long standing beef...and Strictly.

Boom.

Got legs this one.

You'll require some sort of "Factor to eliminate thread popularity bias" as well, but I'm not nearly as good at this game as others so haven't got it to be a witty acronym. But you'll definitely need to factor it in if you wish to eliminate all the skew from the dataset

I think the PL can charge City with having too many likes on a fan site. We would need an EPIC defence: eliminating popularity in calculations.
