PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I really doubt anyone has been briefed. Just senior producers asking junior producers to make sure they have voices to speak when it drops. Pep himself has indicated he believes it is imminent so hardly a surprise the BBC and ITV are working on that basis.

Why?? If the BBC and ITV had heard its not gone our way they would be lining up people to tear our club apart not somebody who will defend the club to the hilt.
Totally disagree.

Big Steve has been consistent, defiant, and exactly as you say, defended the club to the hilt. I applaud it btw, for absolute clarity. He has continuously stated, he trusts the club, the owners, the chairman, he believes we have done nothing wrong.

Do you REALLY think, the fucking BBC (maybe harsh on ITV to bracket them with that) or other media outlets, if they thought the verdict was in our favour, would be inviting him (or any such loyal blue) along for a chance to show his faith has been merited, or to show his relief, or that he can now look forward to putting this behind us slowly etc?

Not a fucking chance.

If he has been invited (I don't doubt what he says), imo it is to be used in a 'look at this poor die-hard City fan' way. To question if he feels 'betrayed', if he feels his trust was misplaced, what he thinks of the owners now, if the achievements feel tainted etc etc. Imo, sorry, it can only be a fucking set-up and nothing else. I just don't trust those cunts one bit for anything past that.

That's exactly how the neville carrager skybet shows he has been on have previously framed it too btw, and I think the bbc would jump at that angle if it was bad news for us. And ignore what Steve or City fans might think, if it were good news.

That's my own take, but I frimly believe that.

Or for a glass half full kind of person.
That sounds very promising.
Lining up a City ‘influencer’ to gloat about the clubs success at the tribunal.

As much as I would love that to be true, I'm sorry mate but that feels incredibly naive to me. Nothing about glasses being half full or empty, I am generally positive and optimistic. For years the media have framed this one way only, I just can't see that suddenly changing. As outlined in my earlier response.

I doubt the big steve info is actually news of when the story will break.
It's been said for a while that the result is likely in March (think stefan said that about 6 months ago) so bbc/itv saying it's imminent doesn't mean they have heard anything just means they know it won't be too long now and they are getting prepared. Bit different if they said what are you up to on the 25th March

If you think the media have an idea how it went, and know it is coming soon. And are inviting someone like Big Steve to feature when it breaks... I'm sorry but I can't see past that being anything but bad news for us.

Big IFs of course.
It takes a lot for me not to be guarded, but you beat me all hands down.

You are thinking too much, imho. As much as I hate agreeing with a lawyer, I am with @slbsn on this one.

Us signing Isco is imminent as well.

So am I, I have repeadedly stressed the IFs.

But IF people think the media have an idea how it went, imo there is only one angle they would be after.

Do you think Big Steve is the only person they’ve worded up….

The "let's fuck City over right now" angle?

They wouldn't be keeping it quiet if they knew it was bad news for the club. Some **** somewhere would have leaked it. Ergo, they don't.

All the media noise, if anything, is softening towards the club.

All imho.

You don't know who else they've asked. There could be loads of people. Relax a little.
