PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

You were hilarious on TS earlier btw. I know you're quite reserved and careful by nature but the smiles while talking about Textor "maybe not being totally accurate" that had Simon agreeing is probably as close as you can get to outright saying "yeah this guy's completely full of shit".

I was very entertained.

EDIT: Ah bugger, the Youtube video isn't out yet but it was very funny

Don’t trust people who say they’d prefer Man City when they were shit! He is full of shit

In fairness, I thought Texter was great to spend 90 mins in there and trying to be honest. But he was also like someone who hadn't been trained for cross examination in sensitive situations. He wasn't careful enough - he admitted he thought "oh shit" when Palace won the cup whilst simultaneously being adamant there was no issue.
He seems like a smashing bloke to have a beer with and a terrible bloke to advocate to regulatory authorities with.

Bit of a wideboy. Some people like those personalities but I prefer serious and dour people to preside over things. I bet he'd love Harry Redknapp. Also, he has the worst poker face in history when talking about Sheff Wed. And he's 100% going to buy back the equity in Palace in the future. It's all a con.

BTW if you think City will be in the mood to help the PL with comms of a City win by delaying for months, then you haven’t been listening or watching
No question City's taken the gloves off, more or less, with the PL.

That said, there are a number of good reasons that City might be working with the PL. Obviously, if it's not a complete win -- say we get dinged on lack of cooperation, for example -- there's absolutely the likelihood that there would be some discussions of a compromise to put the entire matter to rest. And even with the gloves off, City and the PL do have to continue to work together. Rubbing the league's nose -- and those of the red cartel -- in a win would just set us up to be attacked again. Take the time to maybe try to find a lasting peace?

Of course, it's also perfectly reasonable that they are still writing and revising. It's not unheard of for appellate court decisions to take nine months here in the states. I've waited as long a year between hearing and opinion in some of the cases I've been involved in. Obviously, that's not a direct comparison for a lot of reasons, but reviewing a complex, voluminous record and addressing in an exacting manner a multitude of arguments takes a lot of time.

I guess that's a long way of saying that you both could be right and that the delay could well and probably does mean nothing.

Yes, using the words top top top apparently just means someone at City?

Tbh im a little surprised at someone in the legal professsion using such terminology? unless it was just get one up on Prestwich Blue?
I never said anything of the sort. I used the terminology because I wanted to express that I am sure on this one. The decision did not come out months ago and is not being held for the PL and I know from multiple top sources not simply from City. How much clearer can I make it as to what I mean.

Remember the poster on here a couple of months back that eventually got thread banned after convincing many that the that verdict was coming out in a couple of days. I dont recall anyone actually saying he was categorically 100% wrong!

Time for a sabbatical from this infuriating threat until judgement and exhoneration day.

I don't recall that but if someone predicts it is imminent, how can anyone be categoric. You can if someone says it has already occurred when it hasn't

Why does everyone get shirty with Stefan, he is posting info in good faith to fellow blues, up to you to believe it or not. Tolmie talks in riddles on here, gives us info which is wrong as often as it is right and he gets lapped up and worshipped. Nobody demands his sources etc.

I hope PB is right of course, it just doesn't seem feasible for me that with all the outside noise and pressures we are now working together to delay an announcement. I won't abuse him and demand his sources like others are doing to Stefan.

In my view, both posters post in good faith. Information can be received and passed on that turns out to be incorrect. I don't believe that either would post information they didn't believe to be true.

That's because one is posting his understanding based on what he has heard, the other claims to be posting facts.

Purported facts are obviously scrutinised more closely than an "understanding".
