Oasis reunion

I went Saturday night. Left town about 16.15 in a taxi was in the place at 5. If your going I wouldn't leave it later than about half 5 getting in it was rammed then. Best gig I have ever been too it was biblical. The best band that has ever been and they will never be touched that's my opinion anyway.

We went to Mister Ali’s for a curry on Friday night after the gig. We had a couple of pints while waiting for a table. Sat and had a curry. By the time we’d finished eating, the crowds had cleared and we easily booked an Uber to take us home.

Crooked Rain, EL APACHE TEVEZ and BimboBob on this thread are the music equivalent of football bores telling us City fans that we bought our success.

When Aguero scored against QPR, I couldn't have given less of a fuck where the money came from. And on Saturday night, when I had my arms around my sons shoulders singing the Masterplan, I didn't really ponder where Oasis ranked on Spotify's list of most downloaded British artists.
Fuckin Yawwwwn boring bastard

Went Saturday and it was a great day/night
Taxi from Sth Manchester to Welcome Inn Holts pub Whitefield.
Couple of beers in there/they had a DJ on
20 min walk to HP ,queues to get in werent too bad at 5pm but we ended up quite a way back
Cast not really my thing pretty average,RA was decent and then main event Oasis were superb
Sound was best id heard at an outdoor gig, last 1/2 hr was electric atmosphere

Queues for beers pretty decent but long walk back to where we stoood.

Only downside for me was its a big walk back into town, post gig .
Got a cab back to Stretford from Cheetham hill after 3 mile walk down the walk way.
We had front standing and I think that made a big difference getting beers. No queues at all

A-men brother. 100% agree. (Apart from the arms around the shoulders thing cos I wasn’t there!)

Seen Oasis in their prime (sun maine rd) went knebworth which I found a bit underwhelming, brilliant at the etihad, I just find the support acts a bit “weak” this time?
I was expecting ‘bigger’ supports as well. Thought maybe we’d get Blossoms or Doves or Johnny Marr, someone on that level.

I couldn’t give less of a shit about Richard Ashcroft - always found him and the verve a load of whiney forgettable bilge if I’m honest.

Looking forward to Cast though, I’ve never seen them, reckon they’ll be great fun in the sunsheeeiiiiinneeee on Saturday!

The great thing about live music is there’s something out there for every taste and nobody holds a gun to your head and forces you to go.

I don’t get why millions of people piss their knickers over Taylor Swift or Ed Sheeran but hey, you can’t deny that going to see those artists lives make millions of people happy and create memories that last a lifetime. You can’t knock that.

Same with oasis. Fine if some people don’t like them..don’t go then!

Music is magical.

Never said I didn’t like them I said they’ve done nothing after 1998,for me from 94 till 98 they were the best band in the world proper fan-boy must of seen um about a dozen times.

Whilst no album after 98 could top Def Maybe, WTS and Masterplan.
They still made some killer tracks.

Oasis best after Be Here Now.

- Fuckin In The Bushes
- Go Let It Out
- Gas Panic!
- Hindu Times
- Stop Crying Your Heart Out
- Songbird
- Little By Little
- The Importance Of Being Idle
- Mucky Fingers
- The Shock Of The Lightning
- Falling Down

Bonus
- Won't Let You Down
- Shout It Out Loud
- Thankyou For The Good Times
- One Way Road
- Let's All Make Believe

I said to a work colleague years ago that I never understood people forking out a shit load of money to go to F1 when you don't really see anything other than each car whizz by every few minutes. He instantly replied that he didn't understand me paying to stand in the top tier of Wembley for the semi final against United when it was live on ITV. Put me right in my place and I've always tried to appreciate the spice of life since.

Wish you lot that don't like Oasis/Liam/Noel would just leave us that do like their music to it, we get it, go post in a thread about something You like and stop being negative ffs. Why people feel the need to constantly tell people why they shouldn't like something I will never know, just ignore the thread and move on.
Whilst I dont undertand doing it myself, it happens in almost every thread on BM , it's not exclusive to this one

They’ve made some good songs since then 1998, they just haven’t produced an album like the first two and I don’t think that’s worthy of any criticism considering how brilliant both of those albums are.

Blossoms, Doves & Johnny Marr are nowhere near as big as Richard Ashcroft. Ashcroft sold out Delamere instantly last year, Blossoms (as much as I like them) didn't sell out this year. Absolutely no way on earth that any of those bands songs are as well known as Bittersweet Symphony, Lucky Man, Drugs Don't Work & Sonnet. Unless Johnny Marr did a full set of the Smiths of course....
