Oasis reunion

I've spent the last two days in that there London on a break with the missus and our young daughter.

Oasis weren't even playing on these two days, yet as previously stated, there were Oasis fans everywhere (I'm a big fan too and seen them at Maine Road and Knebworth)

I wanted to go into the Adidas stores - it's a trainer thing - but couldn't get there early morning as there were queues and I don't mean a dozen people, there were a good hundred plus people at the one on Bond Street and the other one in Carnaby Street.

I did get into the Bond Street store late afternoon and it was rammed and people were buying so much Oasis / Adidas merchandise, it was ridiculous.

I'm also constatntly listening to Radio X Oasis channel in my car - yes I have all the albums and can play the songs anytime I want, but it's mad that they have their own radio station!!

They have absolutely nailed this so far, completely captured the imagination of new and old fans alike and for myself who didn't bother trying to get tickets "because I saw them in 96 when they were in their prime, etc. etc".........I'm more than impressed with how they sound this time round and am extremely disappointed I didn't bother.

What I've now realised though is just how big they are and were and how the songs have lasted the test of time and will continue to do so.

There's something special about the band, Oasis
Very similar background to you. Even did the 10th year anniversary gig at the Apollo. Went to HP couple of Saturdays ago with my kids (their first time to see them). Can honestly say that this is the best I’ve ever seen them. I even had post gig blues for 2 days. I’ve never had after a gig after 50 years of regular gig going

My daughter's there tonight sporting my 92/94 away shirt. She's absolutely fucking buzzing.
She spotted this in a boozer earlier.

Fair play to the lads. I wasn't sure they'd be able to pull it off but they have big time. The nation really needs a feel good factor at the moment and they seem to be providing it.
I might even come out of retirement myself if they play Knebworth next year.

Seriously thinking about going to Buenos Aires to see Oasis in November.

I get my annual bonus in November.

I’m 57.

Life is too short.

You can’t take it with you.

A once in a lifetime trip.

Oasis, the iconic River Plate stadium, Buenos Aires, fuck it, I’m going!

For anyone going to remainder of London gigs through Wembley Park - aim be there for around 7 latest. Wembley Park was closed last night at around 7:15, so you’ll have to walk from the next station and could risk missing some of the show. Plus you’ll miss Ashcroft too who was brilliant.

An absolutely top class gig. Liam’s voice is brilliant. Crowd was superb to the point where the singing was practically drowned out at points. Worth the money.

I don't remember people wearing bucket hats in the 90s — but then again, if you remember the 90s, you weren't really there.
Nor do I, and bucket hats weren’t an Oasis fan thing either. Liam did wear them from time-to-time but the crowds watching their gigs didn’t as a trend for the band or owt, unless the odd person had it as part of their individual style.

I honestly can't remember whether they did or didn't.
The must have been present though. Kevin and Perry did not do the Manc parody during the 90's for no good reason.
