Oasis reunion

How long did it take you?
I sat in my car in Balgreen Road for an hour. 8 miles home took nearly two hours. the A8 through Corstorphine was mental. Took me an hour to get in as well as the Bypass was doing its well worn impression of a car park.
You'd have been one of the first out at Knebworth '96, in that time. Fucking horrendous.

Iv'e been 5 times this summer (15 times in total now). Had to pay touts every time. and cried for different reasons everytime. That feeling is unreal

This has been a regular in the High Flying Birds setlist. Quality. Noel’s gigs with them were much better than Liams for me.

Liam's Definitely Maybe tour and Knebworth the year before were far superior to anything NGHFB did. Have to admit their set at Glastonbury as the sun set behind the Pyramid was pretty special, but those gigs by Liam were unreal.

I didn’t like the DM one that much.

His Etihad one was good a few years ago though. Although I was in corporate and had my snout well and truly in the free ale troff!

Are you going to any of the ones abroad?
no mate, going to Wembley on September 27th. Got Hotel and train booked but no ticket. they are £1k at the moment on Viagogo. I wont pay more than £600, I will still go down and soak up the atmosphere and hope for the best! so far i have paid!

Friday & Saturday (Heaton Park) £350 each
Weds (HP) £400
Sun (HP) £600
Sat (Murryfield) £550

I haven't gone abroad this summer so just using what i would have spent and 2 weeks on holiday ha!

I know it would have been cheaper to go abroad and see them, but each gig so far i have met up with different mates that i havn't seen for years. So its been expensive but worth it!

Knebworth and “roll it over” first time live stunning and with Squire making Squires song writing look phenomenal.
Liam said after Manchester “we’ll be back with better songs for you next year” and Oasis 25 has happened.

Local.criçket club has jumped on the festival bandwagon and have an oasis tribute band closing tonight. Place has gone mental. Demand will be evrn higher if there are more gigs next year.

Argueing over the best band ever is futile, but theres no doubt they are a cultural phenomenon. And they are blues.

Anyone for Croke Park this weekened?

I'm really regretting not paying £900 now for two tickets last August when I got to the head of the queue.

Looks epic.

Any spares (unlikely) give me a shout
Cracking Day out yesterday - down on the bus from Belfast, parked up at a decent pub, few beers, walked up to Croke Park (all very well organised) - great sets by Cast and Ashcroft then the main men who were absolutely superb several beers more then back on the bus and home in bed for about 2 a.m. Beers were €8 pint which all things considered I was happy enough with. Some of the merchandising though I thought was a bit eye watering - £40 for a bucket hat FFS
