The arse and spurs blokes have been potted so the two clubs can blame them for the witch hunt against City and say to the Premier League, “Don’t punish us!! It was these blokes wot done it, not the clubs, honest, guv.”
I’m glad somebody’s awake.well, Hallelujah.
All this conspiracy nonsense us getting well out of control.
It’s the obvious, logical thing to do. However, I wonder if he’s got the smarts for that, which is saying something. He'll spin it as him wholly investigating alleged corruption and thankfully confirming the integrity of the league. I'd like to think he'll go but seems an easy thing to worm out of
There's also this assumption that's set into the thread that City are going to sail away into the sunset victorious whilst smiting all their enemies which I fear is going to leave a lot of people disappointed, whatever the overall outcome. Some people really do let their imagination run riot.
That’s just what I’d expect people to say…All this conspiracy nonsense is getting well out of control.
IF he appeals the verdict it proves conclusively (not that it needed proving) that this was nothing more than a witch hunt against city, if we are largely exonerated he should be bloody ecstatic and say the system is working and that the most prominent and successful club of the last ten years have been exceptionally well run and should be congratulated for that, the **** wont do that but he should. It’s the obvious, logical thing to do. However, I wonder if he’s got the smarts for that, which is saying something.
The test will be, should we be largely exonerated, whether he appeals that verdict and, if he does, he’s surely gone.
that they do, i imagined @halfcenturyup up was quiet for a whole hourSome people really do let their imagination run riot.
Not so sure about Masters — he inherited the investigation into City from his predecessor and can claim he’s just been doing his job. Aleksander Čeferin is still the President of UEFA.I doubt either the Lewis or Levy departures were directly related to our case, and certainly not part of any settlement as you put it. I agree that Masters' position becomes untenable though in the event of us being largely cleared.

On the one hand Barney Ronay hasn’t been convicted of being a nonce. On the other hand I know he is guilty.
has he genuinely said that? as thats slander, no ifs, no buts, no maybes, ronay hand in your credentials and dont let the door hit you on the way out.
that they do, i imagined @halfcenturyup up was quiet for a whole hour
That doesn't make the opposite true.Well, I think that is understandable considering the media have only ever entertained the idea that we are guilty.
it looks made up, there's no article with this headline in the Guardians archives going back 18 monthshas he genuinely said that? as thats slander, no ifs, no buts, no maybes, ronay hand in your credentials and dont let the door hit you on the way out.
doesn't stop him being an arsehole thoughit looks made up, there's no article with this headline in the Guardians archives going back 18 months
I don't think he'd get away with that, as far as I can tell the Premier League have already investigated us and found us guilty which is why we've had to escalate it to the independent panel. It’s the obvious, logical thing to do. However, I wonder if he’s got the smarts for that, which is saying something.
The test will be, should we be largely exonerated, whether he appeals that verdict and, if he does, he’s surely gone.
You're also not someone I would have normally suspected of naivety. That doesn't make the opposite true.
I'm not saying anything about City's guilt or inoocence. I don't know. But given how far this has come I think the likelihood of a "This was an entirely baseless witch hunt by other clubs" is pretty low.
My own make up which I`ve used on numerous occasion on this forum. I will be sending a letter over from my solicitor for breach of copyright ;) ;) ;;)Where did you pinch it from then eh
