Oasis reunion

Any suggestions for budget ways to get to Buenos Aires? I’m happy to do an overnight stay en route in somewhere like Bogotá, Sao Paolo or Santiago.

I’m trying to bring the flight costs to under £1k but not spend 15 hours in an airport somewhere.

Had a quick look and you can go

London->Houston->Buenos Aires £812 Fri 14th return Mon 17th

London->Bogota->Buenos Aires £845 Fri 14th return Mon 17th

Both reasonable layovers on the way out, but Bogota flight is much better for the way home

No idea where you are flying from though, going from Manchester is more expensive and likely to add another stop. Similar prices from London if you go on Thur 13th as well.

For anyone going to Buenos Aires or Santiago where are you staying - what area?

Also I need tickets for both if you see any at a reasonable price

Well I’ve only gone and booked it.

Going out 6th November and coming back on 21st November.

A day in Orlando due to a cheap flight
Boca v River Plate in Buenos Aires
Trip to Iguazu Falls with short hops into Brazil and Paraguay
Oasis in Buenos Aires
Mogwai in Buenos Aires
Oasis in Santiago Chile

Sounds great. How much has all that cost you?

Superb stuff. Did you get the gig tickets yet? As rabid as the fans are in Argentina, I'd imagine they are like gold dust

£191 flight London to Orlando
£220 flight to Buenos Aires from Orlando
£77 Buenos Aires to Santiago
£300 Santiago to London
All booked

Internal flights to Ighuazu are only around £150-200 return not booked yet

Oasis tickets I’ve seen them for anything from £120 in the gods to £400 for closest to the stage for Buenos Aires.
£300 for the front at Santiago Chile

Boca v River ticket £200

Using Air BnB budgeting for between £40-£60 a night that will get a flat in some locations and a room in others

You probably have to cut down on the chateaux de pap for a week or two to cover the cost, but it'd be worth the struggle :)

Not yet. Plenty on Viagogo and Seat Pick at much cheaper prices than here in the UK. Their economy is going pop. I’m holding on a bit longer. I think I might get more of a bargain closer to the date.
