PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

If that is the case, the PL can charge any club with multiple misdemeanors without recourse.
I suppose they are the rules a club has to agree to.

I think the point is that the emails gave the PL a prima facie case to start an investigation and refer allegations to the disciplinary panel if they didn't get satisfactory answers. They had a reasonable basis to proceed. If that original case wasn't there, they would be in trouble if they investigated, charged and failed to prove.

And I have always thought it is the club who manoeuvred the PL into that situation for a couple of reasons that I won't go into again as I am the only person on the planet who thinks that :)

Do I fuck that’s my point.

Sky and presumably most of their subscribers do though.

You should be able rely on experts for their opinions in their particular area of expertise (clearly that doesn't work for football). That doesn't mean everything an expert says on every other matter should be accepted without question, though.

I can't believe how little we learn about the game from ex-players - we learn more about their tactics in the bars and night clubs than we do on the pitch.

I suspect that, like CAS, the panel will make a point that the PL were perfectly within their rights to refer the allegations to a disciplinary panel. Even I, who thinks the PL are getting royally screwed, can't see a situation where the award suggests, in any way, that the PL acted in bad faith.

It would be funny as fuck if they did, though :)
Depends what evidence there is in the e mails between certain clubs and the premier league.

I would like to know those reasons, but as it may open an old can of worms I can understand why you wouldn't want to divulge them again.

So I haven't followed this but didn't they say something about mid November? Are we a mere week away from knowing the outcome or is this going to continue dragging

The way it’s dragging on without so much as a hint from anywhere suggests it’ll probably end up next year sometime and when it does finally come out, I bet it’s a huge anticlimax where both sides agree to nothing happening.

No punishment for us, no retribution on the PL or cartel.
