Played on the cristal baschet instrument. Basically, wet your fingers and run them on glass rods. Couldn’t find a clip of the composer playing the Picture Box theme, but here he is playing something else, from around the same time.

Very sad news for me personally as he and his family were neighbours and friends in his Corrie days, playing Ken Barlow's brother David. He used to take us down to the studios for watch rehearsals so got to meet most of the cast. He was the loveliest guy.Seem to recall he did TV for schools programmes in the 70s
His son Toby worked for City for quite a few years and when I realised I asked to meet him, which they were going to arrange, but Covid then hit so we never got the meeting.
