PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

So the delay could work in either parties benefit in terms of an appeal?
Not really, in the sense hardly much benefit to either.

If we are found guilty and challenge it on the grounds that too much time makes the judgement unclear, the best we get (as I read that) is a retrail. So another who knows how long if uncertainty, but this time with a guilty banner hanging over the club.

And if the PL appeal on those grounds, they are wasting more money at it and comeing off vindictive.

I think most football fans know it is vindictive. But it has effectively besmirched us for years now which quite plausibly was the intention all along. The damage this has done to the club is incalculable

I don't think hundreds of people at the club will know to leak it.

It is most likely someone at the club will know a few hours to a day before it is announced, and it won't be a open secret for months like with JG.

The only thing that seems to be leaking is nervous fans. Tena are making a fortune.
If it was negative towards City it would leak out via the tradtional route. Someone at the PL tells one of the cartel club directors and they ask someone in their comms team to verbally brief a pal in the media. Of course this is harder to do these days now that Lewis and Levy have left, United are not playing ball any more, and Rick Parry is isolated at the EFL. The Times or New York Times would have the story by now if the result was out and negative to City.

You know a great deal more about these processes than any of us in here, but I would add one thing. Khaldoon has something more than just an impressionistic view of how things went, he knows whether we did "it".

Now whether we did "it" or not might have no bearing on the outcome of the process at all, but the knowledge we're innocent, regardless of the panel's verdict, will definitely inform all of Khaldoon's decisions regarding investment in the club going forward, appeals and whatnot. Khaldoon chose to spend big and bring in the best to defend our corner and that might be, as our detractors claim, simply because we can, or it might, as I believe, be born of indignation. When I watch Khaldoon and maybe this is my blue tinted specs, I see a man that's not just confident that the Premier League can't prove we're guilty I see a man who knows we're innocent.
Surely this is the crux of the matter. If we were guilty then Khaldoon would have been happy to settle at some point.

I don’t know about Levy but Lewis’s step back from Spurs coincided with insider trading charges in the US with the potential of it being a protracted and costly issue. Due to his age (late 80s), I think it’s far more likely that his stepping back from Spurs was more related to protecting his legacy for his family and separating the family’s ownership from his personal interests to prevent any potential legal action against him dragging it in. I also suspect the insider trading charges were of greater concern to him than charges against City, and hence his focus was not on our case in the slightest.
Its not Joe Lewis from Spurs. It was Tim Lewis from Arsenal.

I haven't worked in an office for quite awhile but im sure they still employ cleaners.
Further, no way is some posh bastard typing his own report up.
When I worked in an office if I wanted to know what was happening I'd simply ask the cleaner or the typist.
Failing that I'd screw the bosses office after he'd gone home.

19 months and no one has done either ! No wonder this countries fucked.
To damn honest, thats the problem

Knowing how they think it went, and knowing the outcome, are two very very different things. Having the verdict is a third altogether.
This is what I dont understand, surely they know how it went. Did PL proof that City are quilty or not. Everyone who was at the trial must know. I just cant see how there is some doubts.

The nuances of this have been done to death on here mate.

Any sensible person would agree with you.
