Disrespectful by turning down a lower offer at a team with zero chance of winning the league to move to a team with a great chance for more money?

Do fuck off.

Did we find out if he was down the ground today as my m8 text me he was there today aswell? Or was it a doppelgänger?

Probably bollocks,it takes about 3 seconds these days to take a picture on a phone....not seen any pics yet...I haven't anyway.

Messi Has been spotted outside though...I know...but the old ens are the good ens ;-)

My thoughts exactly. Scousers are hilarious not being able to see that. It's as if the truth hurts a little too much

Shall I start again .......?

I don't think he won't be a world beater?
I don't think he's a terrible player by a long stretch of the imagination?
It's the value of the transfer which puts me off?

I've just not seen enough of him to justify spending £50 million on a player who has two years left and publically stated he won't be signing a new deal.

Why are the in such a hurry to buy him after only seeing glimpses of his potential?

Why look at the negatives?! Post what he can bring to city and there is only 1 criteria will he improve us? if the answer is yes all other arguments are down the toilet..

The thing is Sterling should improve us. It might take him time to do that at the club. IF the fee is 50 million the most expensive English transfer record and this is what will take him time to get used to and to live up to that tag.

I think we should do our best to get him as cheap as possible.

But, if he would be good for our squad does it matter whether he costs £50m or £5m.

We're not in a position where spending £50m means we can't buy in other areas. It's not risking the financial future of the club.

So if he comes for £50m, the only question we need to ask is if he is an improvement to the squad or not. For me, he definitely is.

I feel that Liverpool will be getting the best of this deal by walking away with £50million to play with in the transfer window!

Liverpool may be happy to see us pay that bit more for Sterling. However, they are likely to lose any benefit they have due to the fact that other clubs know they have an injection of £50m. I guess it is doubtful that FSG will make most of that money available.

You'll find there's one or two around ..... a few more seem to be popping up if I'm honest?

Wrexham you'll find is mainly home town conference fans with a small brigade of Everton/Liverpool fans dotted about!
The demise of your town's eponymously named lager was a truly tragic chapter in British beer history.

Edit: just checked online and they've started brewing it again. Wonder if it still tastes like piss?

For me he improves the starting XI, not just the squad - he adds a dimension to our attack that we currently lack and he fills a HG spot, what's not to like?

In reply to some other posters - well we've already gone down the road of buying average HG players with the likes of Sinclair and Rodwell, a complete waste of time and money.

Because if his value goes then other clubs will be able to afford it and we run the very real risk of losing him.
Now compare not signing him, to signing him for a few million more than you think he is worth - which one is the preferred option?
