On Friday, he said he had spoken to his England team-mate and City goalkeeper Joe Hart - as well as Villa's new signing from City Micah Richards - before signing.

"Micah Richards told me that as far as he is concerned, this is the best club in the world and he had the time of his life here," added Delph.

Just listened to the interview ..

The guy asking the questions is awful, very dour and to be honest even Delph looks bored with him..

City need to get somebody else in to do this job..

He used to do all the interviews and I thought he'd been put out to grass since Nicola and Kelly have been doing it.

There wasn't a failed medical.

Delph was under the cosh from the media, Villa fans etc and he back tracked when he was stressed out around the time of his kid's birth.

He realised that he really wanted to come to City and the move of Benteke gave Fabian the cover to think again!

its down to villa this rethink they must be selling others or the manager promise something and it never come off but villa and there fans are up in arms about it but for me its the club (villa) who are the one the fans should be looking at

also why did not villa have him sign a new contract and change the get out clause after the last offer from city and change of mind to stay at villa
