Unbelievable Jeff.
What's unbelievable Roy hodgson could be a success at barca or Munich ,where good old city are as unpredictable we may win the champions league we may be mid table who knows .
All I'm saying is don't underestimate the job he's got to do

Jesus wept "may be mid table." We went backwards under Pellegrini, there's no denying that. But we have finished 4th or better every year since the 2010-11 season, and a year before that we were fifth. Six years in a row where we finished 3rd, 1st, 2nd, 1st, 2nd, 4th. I agree that this will be Pep's biggest task to date but his results speak for themselves, and some of you are flapping far too much acting like we're fucking West Brom. We have world class players. We need to get rid of a few players and add a few players, as does every major team in England and Europe. We have the best manager on the planet taking over in days. Pep is near.

Hopefully the start of us getting some deals done. Get Nolito in, sort out terms with Everton and get Stones in and then onto the next lot.

I can't get excited for this signing. And I will admit he could improve our team. If we weren't attempting to rebuild or replace the old guard I would like this buy a lot more. His age and the fact that it's commonly accepted that it takes atleast a year for new coaches to completely implement their philosophy at a club really bothers me.

It's sort of assumed that part of the reason Pep is moving for him is he will know exactly what is expected of him as he worked with Pep at Barca.

Excited at this signing. Intelligent, double digit goal scoring winger on top of creating 60+ chances all whilst playing in an average team. Has looked good for Spain since breaking in this year so will fit a possession style game.

Age is fine..signed Dinho at his age and that has turned out all right.

Hopefully the signing also means we'll see Sterling given some time on the right.

All good points mate, him signing strengthens the squad, he isn't costing an extortionate amount and he's well known to Pep. Very happy with this one.

feel very indifferent towards this signing. not ecstatic, nor overly disappointed. not really arsed tbh, far better out there

I think that sums this signing up...but if he is a backup attacker that is exactly how we should feel. Hopefully that is all he is. If so, I think he is worth the roster spot. That is really the marker we should judge players on--not transfer fee. We have 17 foreign slots. Is Nolito worth one? I think so.

Yep, how about we judge the signing once we've seen him play in the shirt? Until then, let's trust that Pep wants him and he has knowledge of Pep's system already. Get behind the lad and welcome him with open arms
