Yaya Toure apologises

one of the greatest and most important players this club has had, its a shame he has a twat of an agent. Not heard a peep from Yaya he's just been getting on with training. Would love him back in the squad, he would make an excellent impact player now at this stage of his career.
I honestly believe we wouldnt ne where we are without him, always a legend to me even with the circus that comes with him.

I dont see the point in bringing Yaya back, the team and squad are settling in with the new players and manager and Yaya would more than likely upset that balance.

Pep will ask for an apology from Seluk and he will just have to do it... But those comments if true were far from an apology and in fact seemed to suggest Seluk would forgive Pep!

Love Yaya, but fuckoff Seluk

If Seluk really does apologise then good. Yaya can still be a useful member of the squad, and I'm thinking mostly in terms of games like Southampton and Everton where he can come off the bench and thunder one in from 25 yards.

It's a long season and anyone saying he would be of no use are basically demented

Well, put me in the demented group. Anyone joining me?

Yaya put out a statement . . . And crashed his website

Full statement

Please see my statement on the situation at Manchester City:

"I wish to apologise - on behalf of myself and those who represent me - to the management team and all those working at the club for the misunderstandings from the past.

"Those statements do not represent my views on the club or the people who work there.

"I have nothing but respect for Manchester City and only wish the best for the football club.

"I am immensely proud to have played a part in the club's history and want to help City succeed further. I live to play football and entertain the fans.

"On that note, I would like to thank all of the fans for their messages through this difficult period. This means a great deal to me and my family."

As much as I respect Yaya and the legacy that he built there, he's just not cut out for our kind of game now. I'm afraid if he comes back he's just going to mess up the balance of the team. I'd rather Aleix Garcia gets minutes than Yaya. Pep wants pressing - Yaya's game is the opposite of pressing.

This is magnificent news. I can only see positives in having Yaya available. He wont be picked by Pep no matter the performances simply because hes Yaya. He will either play because he is playing well enough to do so, or he wont.

Still has a lot to offer IMO. Maybe not as a regular starter, but I'd have him back in the squad.

Seems Yaya is eager to get back involved. Not got the legs to play a midfield role in Pep's setup but surely a decent option to provide cover in central defence?
