Nothing wrong with that either. It was never imposed properly and now only serves as a way to keep the status quo. Removing it would actually harm us more than keeping it.

His been a long advocate of scrapping it, as have many other managers and chiefs. It's really not unique to this situation. His originally stance from a few years ago is a bit different and not just clickbait.

His age could be a blessing. Perhaps it's the quality of the team he plays in but currently he tries to do much himself and ends up just blunting attacks. Perhaps as he gets older and starts to slow somewhat he'll put more trust in his team.

I've always been surprised at how much City want him. He might get a ton of goals but isn't someone that immediately fits into free flowing football. Will he still be a target come the summer given the Messi situation?

40m would be a fair price if he gives you that final push for the league and CL. But the only chance I can see that happening would be if we're way off 4th place or Mahrez is back to his title winning form.

    Jadon Sancho

Bit disappointed to have missed out on him with all the hype around him, although he might have hampered Reiss Nelson's development. Don't think you can have any regret over this one even if you go on to sign in him back. Completely different to the Pogba situation which is a joke.

Could be true tbh. Vidal has come out and said Alexis never told the team he had joined a City.

Can't see him leaving in January neither can I see him signing a new Arsenal contract with a release clause. He might be a fierce winner but money and his agent will still talk. Huge signing on fee along with wages and the loyalty bonus from us, doubt he'll give that up.

Our problems go beyond simply throwing money at it tbh. We're not in Tottenham's or Liverpool's situation where they had the manager but not the squad calibre. At the moment I'm just glad Wenger didn't sign anymore of his useless bargain players and managed to shift a few.

As I said as soon as you threw money in our direction we folded and we were expecting as much, not to question why City didn't do this earlier seems a little naive. Arsenal wouldn't have wanted to sell and as the buying club it was City who had to make an offer that was to good to refuse. Which...

    Alexis Sanchez

I merely put that in because I'm not here to wind anyone up, which some fans would look to do. I mean you did miss on your no.1 target depending on who you believe, so everything's not exactly golden. No ones going to disagree that you have an excellent squad, but adding Alexis would have blown...

I think that stance was only put out there for the fans. As soon as you threw a half decent offer in our direction we folded and look to be doing the same with Ozil. A 60m+ in July or early August and he'd be a City player.

(Arsenal fan - not here to mock) Curious as to why this forum, and so many other City fans, are putting the blame in Arsenal's court. Money isn't an issue for you guys so,presumably if you'd just bid enough a few months earlier you would have had him.
