i am probably misremembering but during the match itself i thought he gave the ball away too easily

I don't understand how Grealish can have haters. Hes just amazing in every possible way.

His job was to retain the ball and ease the pressure not to ramp it up by confronting an opponent in front of a card happy referee . In that respect he added nothing of merit by coming on.
 
What a wonderful little cameo from him today. To come on that late and immediately adjust to the frantic pace of an out of control game takes some doing. He kept hold of the ball brilliantly, drew some fouls, wound Forest up and could have had an assist if Taylor hadn’t inexplicably stopped play.
 
Brought exactly what we needed for that short spell. Carried the ball, kept it away from them.

Why on Earth did he stop and pass the ball to their keeper when their player dived though? Foden was through 1on1 if he’d played him in.

It’s not that simple though, is it? Because he frequently does make an impact that accords with his talent yet you seem conspicuously more reluctant to comment on those occasions, than you are on his perceived shortcomings - upon which you routinely pass comment.

So your characterisation of the issue being ‘simple’ is intellectually dishonest because of your palpable inability to speak objectively on the subject.
 
Honestly, I was surprised he didn't come on a bit sooner. I know he's only just back from injury but he's pretty much the best option anyone could have when it comes to bringing someone off the bench to take the sting out of a game.

Him and Doku offer such different skill sets and I hope we find a way of getting them both in the same side at some point.

As a fan of a club from a different league and therefore neutral, I would say he impacts the game quite a lot. Not everyone can be Mbappe.

Still some carry over from the first season £100million player that attracted plenty of criticism from a number of posters on here.
