Looked very overheated tonight. His Instagram post seems to confirm he struggled in the heat which probably affected his decision making. Still, would have got at least one assist tonight. He’ll be fine for Friday once they’ve had a few more days to acclimatise.
In the heat, in the rain, in the cold, in the whatever weather conditions, his decision making is the same.
This is just his level on the wings, no need to play weatherman to justify his decision making and predictability. The chance he created for Nunes was good though, that's what happens when you willing to go down the byline.

Until Doku is back, we will have to rely on creativity from the right or through the middle.

As a winger he’s mediocre Premier League. He is a brilliant player though and deserves a place but where? Doku pisses all over him out wide.

Jack played really good and everyone saw how much he cares after not shooting that ball. Super Jack!

Bizarre decision-making in the final third, especially coming off the back of scoring 3 in 3. That cross to Nunes was excellent but he also killed a couple of our attacks.

There are still times where he seems to stifle his natural attacking instinct and take extra touches which often leads to the ball being back with our defenders. However, without a natural number 9 yesterday, swinging the ball into the box was unlikely to bring much profit so it's understandable. He was also often isolated with no movement ahead of him to play to. No issues with Jack generally, he's scoring goals and he's looking to get into goal scoring areas which was the one minor issue with his play. In some games we'll want Doku and some games Jack, it's brilliant we have both in the squad.

Yet, we’ve won all but one game Jack has played this season.

Doku is far more exciting to watch, whereas Grealish gives us more control of games.

Once KDB returns, Grealish and Doku will rotate the left wing. It’ll depend on how low the block is of the opposition and also how much we need to protect Doku from injury.

They still offer us fundamentally different options on the left wing. Don’t be surprised to see Grealish play in the bigger games and Doku against the low blocks.

I really don't know what people expect him to do to stop all the abuse he gets. He's playing well, he's doing his job, he's getting the ball forward and into the box, other players aren't capitalising on the chances he creates yet HE is the one getting the stick.

Recently he's scored in three consecutive games, has a direct challenger for his position in the squad yet hasn't moaned or sulked, just got on with improving his game to justify his place. He was instrumental in helping us win the treble at a key point of last season, clearly loves the club and the fans, wants to do well for us, wants to be seen as a key player who helps the team achieve it's successes; I seriously do not understand the pile on of abuse and criticism some fans have for him.

How many times does Bernado or Foden go down the byline in a match when they play as the right winger?

I thought he did well with the exception of a few uncharacteristic bad touches. He didn't seem to handle the weather all that well, but otherwise he was ok last night, IMO.

He's not outstanding at anything sadly, and I cannot think of any position where he'd be 1st choice if everyone is fit. The most frustrating thing I find with him, is that when in possession, he looks down and loses all situational awareness of those around him.

He’ll be first choice on the left for a lot of games especially at the back end of the season.

The fact is that a player doesn't have to be outstanding to play in a Pep Guardiola team. They just have to able to understand and carry out tactical instructions effectively.

It's a team game. Jack is much more effective our left flank than many people seem to think.

I find it incredible the amount of stick he gets, if players could finish when he puts it on a plate for them then his assists would have at least doubled, he popped up at big times last season and not just attacking, he has a knack of taking the sting out of games when we are winning more often than not and personally is one of the the first names i look out for on a team sheet.

Granted people have other opinions of him but some seem so off the mark that i wonder if they are blues or just other fans on the wind up.

Ok

Thought second half he was much more positive and looked really good, 1st half I reckon any football league player could have done the same if not better.

I'd argue he's outstanding at protecting the ball. Possibly the best in the squad other than Rodri.

And that characteristic is vital in a Pep team who push so high that we're always at risk of a counter.

Pep obviously values him greatly.

I think breaking £100m was a really significant step for the club given the scrutiny our finances are put under and the attention they knew it would bring - IMO pep wouldn’t have done it on just any old player. The release clause was also important tbf.

I still think he’s playing a bit of a role for us, and not at his absolute best…but in 5 years time I bet the fanbase as a whole will look at Jack the way we do Stones and Walker now. Among the very best in the world in their position and always trusted by the managers.

Just rotate the pitch for 90 degrees in your mind and think of him as Rodri on the wing. Suddenly his value rockets, to Pep at least. Doku probably lost more balls in one half of the game than Grealish since he came to us.
