Any replays of the dive/foul? Couldn't tell from the south stand. There's absolutely no reasoning behind him diving in that situation which makes it hard to believe it was actually a dive. Refs need to be pretty darn sure to be dishing them out nowadays though, var has generally raised the bar for what refs are willing to caution for.

its a ridiculous yellow either way. Either from jack or more likely the ref. Yellow cards should be rescindable like a red card considering the accumulation results in the same consequence. No re-reffing games or analyzing fouls, just a weekly review of obvious errors like false accusation of simulation or mis-identification etc

He got banned last season after picking up 10 yellows without making a single bookable foul which caused him to miss a game exactly when doku got injured and was needed. If that happens again, that card contributes to it when he's potentially done fuck all wrong and it's an easy fix.

Can you appeal a yellow card?
No. except where it is the wrong player, i suppose he could say the Ipswich player should have it for fouling him. :) Got to love him i saw some figures from last season, 6 fouls committed, 7 yellow cards, and this one is why.

Seen some replays the Ipswich player, goes over Grealish`s foot, so it is a foul, but it could still be classed as simulation, i do not think Grealish has made a meal of it. But this is the first yellow i have seen given when there is contact, for example the ref did not book the Ipswich player when he dismissed that penalty claim.
Very much a case of the PL targeting Grealish.

If he doesn't get pick for England in a few weeks I have the feeling he will look to go to Saudi next year! Still think his hours break in and the trauma of it is still effecting him!

I still think the break-in at his house and the trauma from it are still affecting him!
If that is the case, he seriously needs to see a Shrink or a Psychologist. He really needs to get help or else, it would ruin his career. Trauma is not something to ignore or sweep under a rug, it should be dealt with from the root!

Think it's why pep has him on the bench when he is fully fit, pep sees him in training and must see something in him that's missing!

Pep played Grealish in both legs vs Real.

Guess Pep sees that Doku is the future. Hard to disagree on that.

But this season is going to be very long, Grealish will get many chances to show he deserves to play more often. It's up to him ultimately.

Yeah he will get plenty of games but is he up for the fight? Pep gave him the full season to sort his injuries out and the shock of his house being robbed with his family there!!

I like Doku a lot but I think Jack is definitely more productive with his use of the ball. At the moment Doku jinks about a lot then more often than not, passes backwards.
Jack is a better player IMHO

Far more controlled player without a doubt, but I am not sure many defenders would like to face Doku.
