We can’t just have one holding midfielder as we will be in the sane boat next season .

I agree . No point rushing him back as aoart from say the fa cup we are not winning anything and we need him fresh if he is going to be our only defensive mid again .Next season at thr earliest if i had any say.
Any info on his rehabilitation? How far is he from doing some light work with ball etc?
Interesting to see if he's kept on the CL panel we will submit ( assuming we get past Brugge)I don't really know, but my guess is Rodri will start running on grass in several weeks and will join training in late March, so that April he may get some minutes. IF we reach the semis in the CL, he might be an option from the bench. Going by his recent interviews, the plan is to come back in late April or early May.
Hopefully he will get back to his very best ,never know with these injurysI don't really know, but my guess is Rodri will start running on grass in several weeks and will join training in late March, so that April he may get some minutes. He is definitely back by August.Hope he will be ready in August for new season
They told about Bobb to be back in 3 to 4 momths. Its almost 6 months since injury , he hasnt seen pitch yet

He wants to play the club world cup in June.
Although I doubt the club will let him, because even if he is able to run by then, we wont risk him.
You’ve hit the nail on the head here. The fact is he’s only going to play when he’s ready and he has the all clear from the medical guys. We aren’t going to be rushing him back, even if we see at the end of the season. I think Pep said in a presser the recovery is going very well and the target is to be ready for the end of the season.Rodri is an intelligent guy. If he thinks he's ready based on what the best doctors are telling him and how he feels, he will already play in May. I'm sure he will be back before the end of the PL season.
The usual posts about injured players recommending caution are a bit naive. We are talking here about top professionals. Medical science isn't maths, mistakes happen. But neither Rodri nor the medical staff nor Pep will risk his health.
I don't think we see him this season
He's not old but he is 28, chances are we need the full 9 months for him to fully recover and ensure he won't reinjure himself, that puts us end of June and honestly why risk it if there is a game left or whatever the Club World Cup is, give him the summer so he can come back as strong as possible
Van Dijk was only a year older than Rodri when he got his ACL and got it 2 weeks earlier in the season... he didn't see any action till the end of July during a friendly, expect we will see something similar
Which is why I said late June whereas VVD returned late JulyVVD was injured in October, nearly a month after Rodri.
More importantly, we should take seriously what the best medical specialists tell Rodri and what he says rather than speculate on the basis of comparisons with previous cases. Rodri may come back in late April/May or may not. I think he will play some games in May and will be in decent form (not his best, of course) for the CWC a month later. Let's see what happens.
I think we will get an indication of how far along he is on the road to recovery when the champions league panel is submitted shortly.don't think we see him this season

The CWC is pretty much our only pre season, think we have to use it that way especially for Rodri, and use him sparingly.VVD was injured in October, nearly a month after Rodri.
