The save from Maddison’s FK first half was more spectacular but his anticipation for the stop from Iheanacho second half was actually better and more important- world class in its mentality, concentration, vision and execution when all around him were losing their fucking minds

Nonsense. He made a fantastic block, and was unlucky to see it bounce back into play off the top of the bar. A couple of inches the other way, and it bounces out for a corner.

take it none of you have been a goalkeeper or played football at a decent level . Finger tips and deflecting it on the bar is a good save , getting a full hand behind the ball and not being able to push it away is bad keeping.

It was piss poor keeping he should of pushed it wide or got it over the bar. It was hardly a great strike. That wand of a left foot means people will defend his actual goal keeping to the hilt.

As Goalkeeper of the year for the Rochdale Sunday League Division 1 2013, I will give you the 3rd goal. I actually think he anticipated a better strike from Maddison and went too far across and his readjusting meant he couldn't get enough on it to get it over the bar. It should have been a fairly simple save really.

On the free kick one in the 1st half, you are definitely taking the piss.

I thought he made some good saves yesterday. Plus his anticipation for the kelechi chance was too drawer. Without that who knows what would have happened.

With the 3rd goal I’ve seen it a few times but I’ll be honest in that I’m not sure if it’s a good save or wether he should have done a bit better. I think he himself will be disappointed it’s not been dealt with correctly but if it’s a goalkeeping mistake I can’t say that I’m 100 sure.

Out of pure curiosity Macduff and please feel free not to answer have you played in goal or done goal keeping coaching. I’m not looking to start any argument just genuinely interested.

I thought he was pretty shit for the 3rd goal and he makes mistakes like every keeper but every other fan base is jealous we have him.

Also contrast with Schmeichel who I thought should have claimed the ball for both of the final two goals, Ederson dominates his penalty area incredibly well. I actually can’t remember the last time we conceded from a set piece.
