As least Sterling is happy that Ederson is now the boo boy :-D
In terms of shot stopping? About a dozen in the PL alone. In terms of also being able to use his feet and save shots then just Alisson in the PL.
His shot stopping hasn't been as good recently but to say there are around 12 other keepers better at that is just crazy. There's been many times when he's saved us in one on one situations.
As for Allison how man times as he fucked up playing out from the back.
I wouldn't swap Ederson for anyone.
No he's claiming when you combine passing and shot stopping Alisson is better. You're not actually claiming Alisson is a better passer, are you?

Build your strawman wherever you want pal, I’ll be over here talking with the adults. I’ve made no such claim, I responded to someone (two actually) claiming he’s a walking disaster with ball at feet, likely based on a ten minute brain fart he had against us 18 months ago. You're not actually claiming Alisson is a better passer, are you?

:-DNormal fan: “Ederson can improve his shot stopping, hopefully back to previous levels”
Weird Fan: “wHy Are YOu HatInG oN hIM?”
But Liverpool is not losing goals so frequently in an important games during Champions League like us :(
That's a well balanced post. I love Ederson but sometimes he's a little flat footed. We must look at constantly improving and minimising areas of weakness. No, it says I’m not full of blue bias. It also says it’s unlikely you watched many of Liverpool’s games this season.
You’re remembering one bad game that Alisson had against City in the season prior to the one just ended.
Alisson made more saves, had more touches, had a higher save percentage, completed more passes and had the same amount of unsuccessful short passes and virtually the same pass completion percentage. Opta also rated him substantially higher

That doesn’t mean I want Ederson to leave, it means that he can improve.
By the way, for context, neither get anywhere near the top 30 PL all time save percentages on record (Cezh at 90% in 2005 holes the record), and to make the top 30, a save percentage of 80% is needed.
Ederson shared the golden glove, although he made 60 saves (20th highest) in 38 games, compared with 148 for the Leeds keeper.

There are a great many better shot stoppers in the PL, none (or perhaps only one) of whom could do the job City require of their keepers.
The facts absolutely disagree. See above. I watched every Liverpool game this season and he was very good, as he usually is. Which is why he has many more Brazil caps than Ederson.
And he has never looked like a clever, calm guy
Look at Neuer, Alisson, Casillas, or Navas, CL winners, they all were much better in terms of stopping shots or 1 vs 1 than Ederson. Ederson's decisions in terms of positioning in 1 vs 1 and saving, even simple shots are ofter terrible. He is not a top keeper in terms of saving the shots, a typical goalkeeper's routine, that's why I don't know if we will win Cl with him as a goalkeeper. In the crucial CL games he is often terrible and he is not helping the team. You don't think Ederson has ever looked calm? Are you off your tits?
But, to be fair to you, I don't think anyone has ever accused him of looking clever.
Alisson is really good at one on ones, Ederson is better at every other thing...Alisson is a way better keeper than Ederson. End of the story. Anyone who is watching football will admit it. Ederson's nervousness, lack of communication, easy mistakes, and inability to make sometimes simple saves has cost us the Champions League. And he has never looked like a clever, calm guy which is very important in terms of a world-class goalkeeper.
because I genuinely think he is not good at shot stopping. And I thought this was a forum for views? Not sure if the forum will survive if everyone comes up with 100% facts. Also, I don't need to watch full match videos - I have only missed 2 games all season and (pre Covid) 1 the season before last for example. He has some great aspects to his game but I think he is comfortably below average at shot stopping."but he couldn't save if he was put in a bank". What motivates someone to post that. It is not an opinion based on fact it is just a blatant falsehood. If you want facts watch some of the vast number of City's full match videos available.
