Uncomfortable conversations...
Has he really, though...?
He was playing great last season and had a bad foot injury. He came back, was playing great again, and then had to have his appendix removed. He's had some poor games this season, but who doesn't? He's still had FAR more good games than poor ones. He's been our best player this season, in my eyes.
His progress definitely stalled for a year to 18 months but that’s normal, it was off the back of 3 or 4 years of constant improvement.
Wrong. Pep was teaching him how to play all over the park . He can do the lot now. GeniusIt's what happens when you keep getting played in different positions game to game.

He sits on the bench next to Haaland. The second game in a row Phil bossed the second half. And how on earth you leave Julian out!?!Really growing in to that role. Affecting games more and more now. Starting to look like the player we know he is.

He can do a job in a few positions! Including false 9Well, not really. We can all see he's much better centrally. Most top players can do a good job in a few positions and have that versatility.

My point was that was part of the learning curb. Like initially keeping him on the bench when people were gasping for him to start. He will start more n more in a central position now .I know he can. He's proven that. But you can never expect Foden to show his best if he's getting put in different positions all the time.
